  1. That's exactly what this team needs, starting with JR.
  2. Couldn't agree more. I kinda hope they lose to prove JR was wrong in hiring Tony. Ever since the hire this team has gone downhill, last year's playoffs exposed the team for what it is, defensively challenged and the inability to hit extra base hits.. At least now I have gotten over them losing and won't dedicate my summer nights watching them on TV. So glad I passed on last nights game, I have tickets to tonight and a game against the Cubs this weekend which I'm dreading. The Cubs are going to kick our asses, their currently playing hard and believing in themselves, something this team forgot how to do ever since Tony was hired.
  3. Exactly, Ricky at least had them playing hard and they wanted to win for him. Tony is so transparent in his treatment of players that they know it's not genuine and they have no desire to play hard for this train wreck of a manager who should have stayed retired. Not that they should need a manager to get them fired up, but it certainly helps when you can at least respect the man calling the shots.
  4. Hahn should have resigned when JR chose Tony. Lost respect for the man after that, who knows how many other moves have been shot down by JR or Kenny. BTW if Hahn were to be fired we can expect another Jerry kiss ass or former player to take over.
  5. Hysterical but so true. I'll never understand why a player getting the day off can't pick up a bat and hit in the late innings of a close game. It's like Tony's is willing us to lose for the sake of a player having a full day's rest.
  6. exactly, no sense of urgency...basically no sense to figure out hey this guy's pretty fast I better hurry up.
  7. Tony....... "What 3-hitter pitcher rule are you talking about"?
  8. Tony doesn't play match-ups or the shift, he plays with his gut.
  9. Exactly, but it's Tony's strategy to rest his legs for October.
  10. OH Boy, the hits just keep rolling for KC. They actually came to play today, unlike the Sox.
  11. Boston signed him for 30 million so it's not like he didn't have money before the contract extension.
  12. Ricky only had 2 pitchers in the playoffs it wasn't his fault he was hyperventilating. Like you said "The team played their asses off every single day" for him, can we say the same about are HOF manager?
  13. That's why you keep playing him everyday and don't ever take him out, make him at least sweat for the millions he's making.
  14. TR looked tired after stealing 2B and even more tired after stealing 3B, better pull him Tony and rest his legs before we score a run
  15. unfortunately I agree, it will never happen. He won't quit and he won't be fired. Our only hope is he's too embarrassed to continue and will resign after this year.
  16. Speaking of eye test, no war or defensive metric will capture that called Hit, which was obviously a home call as a Hit saving poor Tim another embarrassing error. I BELIEVE IN THE EYE TEST, everyone else can talk about WAR this and BPIP that or whatever other acronym they can come up with.
  17. Looks like Tim was distracted??????? do you think, that was an error. Too worried about Ozzie, that ball was right at him.
  18. I saw that lack of hustle on Robert also, but the announcers didn't want to talk about it.
  19. "Some", just about every pitcher the sox have faced this year have their number.
  20. I received a season ticket holder email the other day, I responded this morning asking if I could get a refund on the 18 games remaining in my 20 game plan. No chance I renew next year after purchasing the at the beginning of the rebuild.
