  1. You can turn it off now, this team is dead and will struggle to score 2 runs
  2. That's because Moncada doesn't pay attention to who's in the batters box, he thought he had time.
  3. You mean the next Mike Trout is not performing to Eloy's expectations
  4. They'll be out of the race by end of August so they can all take a 30 day leave of absence.
  5. Meanwhile KC trots out basically the same line-up for all 5 games.
  6. Hahn didn't want LaRussa, and Tony didn't ask Jerry for the job, no Sir this one falls on JR, unfortunatly we can't get rid of JR.
  7. Line-ups out with another IB in RF, well after Engels play maybe Vaughn can't do much worse
  8. Tony's not getting fired you can stop that thought, it's not happening. He will only leave on his terms, Jerry wouldn't want to "make another mistake" that he needs to make amends for. Not sure how many remember Tony's last years with the Sox but the majority of fans were not in his corner when the Hawk fired him. Tony more than any other manager at the time is responsible for all the pitching changes and the games dragging on endlessly because of all the moves he made with his bullpen.
  9. Unbelievable, the only explanation is Tony must have forgotten that he can pinch hit for players or he's sleeping thru the the 8th and 9th innings.
  10. Regarding Tony and Tim, TLR say's there were 31 times Ozzie didn't start "look it up", well I did and Ozzie played in 150 games in his rookie year which means he may not have started all 31 games as Tony claims but he was used as a pinch hitter. Giving a player a rest doesn't mean they can't pick up a bat in the 8th or 9th inning in a close game. Nope, Tony would rather bat Leurey, Engel, and Harrison then have one of his rested stars pick-up a 32 oz bat.
  11. Classless, especially when your losing the game
  12. It's the TA swag that they all learned from him to be cool man, be cool.
  13. What!!!, it's his day off he can't pick up a bat!
  14. WALK, WALK, WALK, ground ball thru the hole
  15. I dread the games against the Cubs, we are going to get smoked by a team that's in the middle of a rebuild.
  16. Hahn's should have resigned like a man instead of cowering to Jerry and pretending like LaRussa was a good hire
  17. Want a job as the Sox hitting coach, it seems like we should have an opening.
  18. Just saw Engels misplay on the 9 O'Clock news, I won't waste my time watching these clowns on TV and only check in on SoxTalk to see what's happening.
  19. Maybe just maybe Leury, but I doubt it, this link tells the story. https://www.foxsports.com/mlb/leury-garcia-player-game-log?season=2022&seasonType=reg The Mendoza Line is baseball jargon for a sub-.200 batting average, the absolute minimum threshold for competence at the Major League level. Tony just keeps playing Leury at .185, even both games of a doubleheader......what a joke, he even had him bat leadoff.
  20. I can go with Moncada in #2, makes sense he takes pitches and is a switch hitter.
  21. Putting your best hitters at the top makes sense to me, more at bats over the year is what you want. Robert is essentially still a rookie, he can learn to take pitches if the hitting coach and manager make a point of it.. It's either Robert or Vaughn in the #2, We need to start thinking of the future. I'll take my line-up over the ones Tony throws out there.
  22. Odd = Tony's lineups. at least he got the outfield right. Engel should be in RF, Pollock in LF and Robert in CF, no if's and's or but's about it. It's called defensive positioning.
