  1. Exactly makes no sense which is why our manager did it.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbCajkX3IqI
  3. OK, I'll admit I'm not good at Sox math and we'll agree to disagree.
  4. I'll take the 70% odds in my favor in a 1 run game and book it. Of course if he would have scored I'd say great send JOE.
  5. They may know that, but on any given day do they know for sure where they'll be hitting in the line-up. If your given the day off, who say's you can't pick-up a bat in the 8th or 9th inning of a close game instead of send ing the bottom of our order up with the game on the line.
  6. Couldn't agree more, all signs except the one Jerry see's point to Tony be a complete failure. The players can only put up with the charade of "liking their manager" for so long before they lose interest in playing the game the right way with a winning approach. Hard to get excited or stay focused day to day when you don't know where you'll be hitting or when Leury will be taking your place in the line-up or batting order.
  7. I saw a lot more hits/runs last year with Robert and Eloy among others out most of the year before they really got to know Tony. This team can HIT, they just need an attitude adjustment which should be coming from the coach. Our coach would rather be a players manager (see how much Pujols likes me guys) and the team is responding by playing baseball the way the former player/manager LARussa played which was not very good.
  8. He should have never been sent when any MLB player has the ball in his hands in shallow left field before the runner even reaches 3B. Sorry Benni with a noodle arm is capable of making that throw. Not only is he capable but he threw the runner out by 10 feet with our best hitter standing in the on-deck circle.
  9. As much as people torched Renteria, (some fair, some not) he brought this team along and should have been allowed at least one more year. The team played for this man, I'm afraid this team was caught off guard by the Tony hire and will never play with the fire needed to win a championship let alone beat the Twins and Cleveland for a division title. This team unless they wake up soon or Tony is "let go", is toast.
  10. Just what we need another injured player to worry about.
  11. Agree "it starts at the top with Reinsdorf" Agree "Hahn should have resigned when he was forced to hire Tony" Agree "the GM title was too important to him" Agree "I'm getting to the point where I don't care anymore" Agree with The Grinder "Kind of like Hotel California. You can check out but never leave"
  12. It actually has felt bad since the day Tony was re-hired, the bewilderment and taste in my mouth has only grown every day this shell of a man is allowed to manage a MLB team. I was ok with giving him the benefit of the doubt at first, but it has only gotten worse every game he's allowed to manage. Tony only wants the players to "like" him. He won't sit them for not hustling or do anything to hurt their ego's or inject some life into the team.
  13. SS- ANDERSON CF- ROBERT 3B- MONCADA 1B- VAUGHN DH- ABREU/GRANDAL/SHEETS C- GRANDAL/McGUIRE LF POLLOCK RF ENGEL 2B HARRISON/LEURY It's not that hard Tony, play them don't rest them until we are well over .500 You are only allowed to alter the DH, 2B and C, but let the rest of them play for 14-30 games without a rest.
  14. One of our handful of rested players need to say enough is enough, I don't need no stinking rest, PLAY ME TONY!
  15. 4 runs in two games against KC say's everything we need to know about this team.
  16. Do you think maybe all the line-up changes are part of the reason this team can't find it's mojo? Everyday seems to bring another head scratching line-up and the players don't know on any given day where their batting in the line-up. I don't believe Tony has played the same line-up on consecutive days let alone leaving them in the same position and batting order for at least a week.
  17. TR needs to learn how to play SS without committing bonehead plays. Ozzie at least played defense.
  18. I never said Tony waved him home, never blamed Tony for that. I do blame him for resting our players so much so early in the season. Maybe if he played his best nine for a month we wouldn't be so inconsistent at the plate and would start scoring some runs so we can save our bullpen from being overworked.
  19. Ozzie saying we babysit players, TA should play every day
  20. And that's coming from a Manager who won a World Series coaching the Sox and as a 3B coach for the World Series winning Marlins.
  21. Ozzie, saying it's common sense not to send Harrison with Robert up next.
