  1. This series just showed we lack DEFENSE and will never win a championship until it improves. Sorry Tim, you're really not that great at fielding, see ya Eloy, Harrison, and Bye bye Leury. and take Tony with you. That may do it with Abreu set to retire or take a diminished role.
  2. Last I check he's still unsigned, so the rest of the league must be dumb asses too?
  3. You're exactly right about Tony's no doubt reaction to fans complaining about GArcia's playing time. He feeds off of thinking he's smarter than everyone else. Now I remember why I wanted Tony gone in 1986. He was no doubt behind the 3 year contract the Sox gave Leury, and for that move alone he should be forced to retire.
  4. I had seats in row 11 between 3B and OF and roasted with you, so this year I changed them to last row on 1B side to cool off. Tailgating is the answer to the ridiculous prices inside. If you can't do that hit the hot dog stand on 35th before the game as has been suggested before. When heading inside make sure to bring in a bottle of water and try to spend as little as possible on everything else inside the park.
  5. Agree, and I'm not willing to take a 44 million chance on Carlos staying healthy. So far he's pitched great in 2 games, much like last years start, but will he be there at the finish when it counts. In the 2 games, Carlos is 1-1 with 21 K's and he's averaging 89.5 pitches in 6 innings. I would hardly call that watching his workload. If he keeps up this pace he'll be worn out in July-August and of no use in the playoffs.
  6. call 312-674-1000 they answer on the first ring.
  7. I would venture to guess "poll please" that not too many people on Sox Talk have Scout Seats.
  8. Maybe if you forked over some cash for a 20 game plan earlier in the year we could of signed Scherzer!
  9. WOW, nice catch and throw to 2B....now that's what I'm talking about a lil defense
  10. good point, but he still could have commanded a higher salary and a longer contract had they pulled in the reins and not allow him to go over 80 pitches early in the year.
  11. I agree, the Sox overworked him especially with his injury history. Probably a result of TLR wanting to go all in and win the WS for JR without any thought what so ever about Rodon's long term health.
  12. How many starting pitchers average 16 starts over 7 years?
  13. I'm happy for him, I hope he can do it for a full season. He wasn't signing here for the QO, so we lost a draft pick that's all. I still wouldn't have taken a 44 million chance on him for 2 years based on his history since he has an opt out after 1 year. In hindsight yes, I would have absolutely signed him , but who could have predicted both Lynn and Giolito would go down before we played 2 games.
  14. This should not be happening, especially to Bummer who said last year if the Sox had the lead after 6 they wouldn't lose.
  15. You sound a lot like Darrell H on the Athletic who is a self professed Cubs fan but posts comments on Sox articles just to draw attention to himself.
  16. He'll be replacing Bummer soon if he keeps getting the ball in the strike zone
  17. He obviously hit righties in college, not sure why he's having trouble now.
  18. not at all, Burger looked sick at the plate today and Vaughn runs in quicksand
  19. Thankfully TA will be back tomorrow, but that won't stop Tony from starting him in RF
