  1. I know, but whenever I rag on Leury he hits a HR so call me superstitious. Although it's not a bad idea, Tony fell for Leury and no doubt he went to JR and told him to sign him for the 3 years his agent wanted. Hahn, is powerless.
  2. Reylo, don't let me down....I have your back, now how bout giving us 9 outs.
  3. I've seen this movie before, but we really don't have any reliable option.
  4. If I start ragging on Leury he'll no doubt hit the game winning HR. WTF, is he batting 7th, Burger should be 7th, Leury 9th. 2 AB's and he looks at 3 pitches, you suck Leury.
  5. He would have to clear waivers so that's probably not going to happen.
  6. I believe so since nobody claimed him, but Sox most likely to turn to Adam Haseley
  7. Just the facts please........ bleacherreport.com/articles/2949766-mlb-player-rankings-for-top-25-third-basemen-of-2021-season dodgerblue.com/mlb-top-10-third-basemen-right-now-justin-turner-ranked-by-the-shredder-for-2022/2022/03/22/ Like all of the other rankings compiled by The Shredder, the evaluation of third basemen took into account a three-year sample, with the 2021 weighed more heavily. It factored in WAR and wRC+ in addition to Statcast metrics. Defense was weighed more heavily compared to second base and third base.
  8. I like Burger, but Moncada is a top 10 3B in ALL of baseball. I betting there's 20+ teams that would like to have Moncada at the hot corner.
  9. Seen enough after 1 game, oh boy you are something. Marcus Semien went 0-4 yesterday, I wonder if the Rangers are giving up on him already.
  10. Oh great wise one, please explain the facts behind your statement instead of just throwing gas on SoxTalk.
  11. Brings a tear to my eye every time and it never get's old. Kudo's to the White Sox for including the disco demolition explosion, while it was a dark day in Sox history it is part of their history and it was a lot of fun being there until things turned ugly.
  12. We're doomed, we didn't sign Scherzer, Robbie Ray, Kevin Gausman, Marcus Stroman, Marcus Semien, Trevor Story, Javey Baez, Kris Brant, Kyle Schwarber or Michael Conforto and they were all there for us. All we had to do is sign 3 or 4 of them and you could print our World Series tickets.
  13. That was the best free agent offer Hahn ever made, and management backed him up with the cash. Our offer was for more money than he signed for. It came down to Wheelers future wife wanting to stay on the East coast.
  14. I agree with " I will always be a White Sox fan first, but that doesn't mean I have to blindly agree with the owner, GM or manager"
  15. You're probably right, but at the time the Sox were going for it all and fell for the 18 HR and 47 RBI's Hernandez had before the trade.
  16. Aj Signed a 5 year 60 million dollar contract (avg. 12 million a year) at 31 years old. Would I sign him at age 34 for more than 1 year with team an option, YES at 12 million. The Dodgers and Giant's have larger revenue steams and attendance at games than the Sox so you can't compare the three teams. I'd rather be in the Sox position than the Twin's. Sounds like you'd rather cheer on the Padre's and you expect them to win before The Chicago White Sox....good luck with that. And finally, the Met's who spent money on multiple free agents, signing them to long term contracts and they'll be lucky to finish in third place. No Thanks I'll take my White Sox chances the next five years over the Met's.
  17. And what exactly in your minds eye would make it an "A", signing Semien (7 years $175 mil) and Conforto (turned down a 100 million) or some other free agent to a multi-year deal. It's not always about signing the best players to the biggest contracts. Look to The Padres who were willing to eat 30 millions of dollars just to shed themselves of Eric Hosmer's contract recently. Same thing will happen down the road when they're saddled with Machado's contract. My prediction is the Sox have a better chance of winning this year and beyond than the Padres. The Sox signed two of the top RP's in the free agent market, and rid our team of Kimbrel for Pollack which in itself is worth at least a "C" grade. I gave them a "B" based on the RP signings, getting rid of Kimbrel for a AJ, and preserving the future of our team by not spending foolishly on the two free agents everyone wanted on this team which would have raised our payroll by 40 million.
  18. Until Kopeck actually starts a game and goes more than 5 innings I will not consider him a starting pitcher. To say he's better than Manaea is pure speculation. I'm a South Sider who say's "show me first" before I'll believe in all the Kopech hype.
