If a starter like Verlander can throw 98 consistently, good for them, but I think velocity is kind of overrated for a starter. Locate, change speeds, get guys out. It takes 1 pitch to get a ground out or fly out and 3 pitches to get a strike out.

Agreed. I like the call up for the simple fact we need some speed in the outfield and hopefully he will give us speed on the base paths.

Clark, the Jays 3B, thought it was his team mate and let the ball fall and a run scored. MacDonald started jawing with ARod. May see some more photoshop goodness as ARod was standing at third, waving his finger like a woman at MacDonald.

Jesus Colome for Washington is having a great year out of their pen and could be had for a small price, I bet. I liked his potential with TB and saw that he was quoted that he developed a good change that he throws for strikes along with his slider. Saw him pitch the other night and was damn impressive.

I didn't see the game cuz I was at work. I actually saw we were up 6-1 and decided to turn it off because I didn't want to hear it if we blew it. Just looking through the last few pages of this thread, I agree with most stuff. Where was Jenks? Why was MacDougal put in a close game again? And I am sick of giving up 2 out runs. Finish the fricking inning. Watched highlights on MLB.TV and it was the Twins broadcast. Right after Aardsma walked in the winning run, Ozzie sprinted into the clubhouse. It was like "Ball 4" and Zoom! After the Twins tied the game, i would of just gone out and got intentionally thrown out. Curse the umps for some BS calls and just get the hell out of there.
