  1. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 12:38 AM) So, anyone who did this see their free $50 in their account yet? I just signed up and don't have it. See by the post above me it may take a few days though.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 11:13 AM) I wouldn't say they'll get screwed. USC and Ohio State will both go undefeated and be more deserving of making the title game IMO, and the system will screw over West Virginia. But then again, who needs a playoff system. I hope everyone keeps thinking OSU will go undefeated. I usually have low standards for Michigan but the way they have looked on both sides of the ball has me excited.
  3. FIELDS YARD!!! Congrats to our 2007 LF!
  4. Sad to see Pollock of Cincy out for the year with a broken neck. I remember him as a bad ass at Georgia and had a solid rookie year.
  5. Just saw a clip of the Orton RKO that beat Carlito. Pretty neat looking. Carlito tried doing that springboard off the middle rope and Orton caught him mid air. Very smooth.
  6. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) Duh, we need WWE Champion John Cena in "The Marine". This PPV didn't look too good at all. The Kane/Umaga double count out finish at a PPV. The WWE business plan: 1. Push Cena as a Superman 2. 3. Profit! And bad news for you Randy Orton haters/jealous folk, lol, he is now pretty much the top heel and wouldn't be shocked to see an Orton/Cena feud and possible Orton/HHH at WM 23. Unless they think it is a good idea to have Edge/Cena AGAIN!?!? This could of been great, have Cena get screwed, let him go to SD angry and make him a heel like the old days. sigh
  7. sigh...Cena wins the belt back. I don't get it. I thought the idea of him going back to SD would of been good.
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) That was the team that went to the Sweet 16, that was the most exciting season in Saluki history. I will never forget watching the Salukis come back from being down 30-11 to Georgia in the second round of the tournament in Chicago. They spanked the Bulldogs that day, spanked Bobby Knights Texas Tech team two nights before, and gave Uconn a run for their money before bowing out against the Huskies(A team with Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor on it, among others). Yeah, Caron Butler hurt us with a couple of shots late in the game. My SR year, SIU made some noise in the NIT. Figures I would miss the great season of 01-02. I'm gonna try and get down there for the 12/20 game at the SIU Arena against Central Michigan this year if I can.
  9. I really have nothing against Indiana. This is huge for Kill and Co. I'm sure Indiana fans remember the Salukis beating the Hoosiers at SIU Arena a few years ago. SIU b-ball is going to be top notch. They should be ranked top 15, at least top 20. Go Dawgs!!!
  10. I'm pulling for Frank as well, but this is a non story. WE WON THE WORLD SERIES WITHOUT HIM!!! I'm tired of people saying how bad it would look if we miss the playoffs and the A's make it. That is so far off. It looks bad that we don't make the playoffs on ourselves.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Greasy's sig says it all.
  12. ozuna, gooch, dye, thome, kong, crede, uribe, anderson, alomar
  13. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) I've always thought Norm is one of the most underated comics. I was one of the people who liked his show. But his 15 minutes were up awhile ago. But yes, that was funny. Stewarts reaction is good as well.
  14. Did not get to see last nights game but was listening as Mack missed that catch on a dive attempt. Would BA or Sweeney have caught it?
  15. P.S. Libertyville actually beat Lake Zurich. I got bad information last night.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) Pats improve to 4-0. I'm still waiting for Stevenson to play a good team. They only beat Mundelein by 14 and should of blown them out. It's safe to say I'll be a Lake Zurich fan when they play Stevenson.
  17. Excuse me while I remove my foot from my mouth....ok. Lake Zurich beat Libertyville. Kudos to them. I underminded them and they are the real deal. Now looking forward to them vs. Stevenson.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 06:15 AM) So tonight was the first time in a good 3 weeks that I fell asleep before 4 am and our dorm ends up having a f***in fire drill at 6 am. Unbelievable. Memories. Living in Neely, I was on the 3rd floor while I had buddies way up on 17. They always wanted to stay in my room til the elevators got functional but I refused because they would drink all my beer from my fridge. One year, it got pulled or went off so much that I would wake up in the middle of the night thinking it was going off.
  19. They were both awesome wrestlers. I say Rude was the better heel simply because he was never a face. Perfect was very over as a good guy as well back in the day.
  20. Brantley is far from a doctor, but being an ex pitcher, I would expect him to know something about arm injuries. He said he did some research and thinks this elbow thing could be bad and Liriano could miss up to a year and a half. I really hope that is not the case. But Tommy Jon surgery means at least one year and it looks like Liriano is at least headed for that. Very unfortunate.
