  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) I'll be watching some old WWF tapes tonight. I might have to explain to my fiance the power of the Hogan leg drop. And if she doesn't understand, ditch her.
  2. The Rally Year Old Virgin is about to start on HBO. I'm getting carried away with this Rally stuff.
  3. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) yes! I like Rally Shark Week This is getting carried away but I love it.
  4. Atta boy Brian! Not bad for the worst hitter in White Sox history.
  5. QUOTE(champ @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) Riske proves that most of you have no idea what you're talking about. Shut up, people were just worried cuz all it would of taken one pitch for the game to end. And BTW, NONE of us know what were talking about, but we still have fun.
  6. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) Buck isn't catching, Phillips is. My bad. Can't see game.
  7. Pods on deck, providing big time protection.
  8. Yankee GM Brian Cashman lambasted WFAN talk show host Chris Russo yesterday in a loud exchange that was ignited by Russo branding the newly acquired Cory Lidle as "not a good pitcher." By the end of the heated 15-minute interview, Russo apologized for upsetting Cashman. After Cashman warned Russo not to "embarrass himself" and twice said that Russo was acting unprofessional, the confrontation peaked when Russo loudly criticized the signing of Jaret Wright. At that point, a thoroughly annoyed Cashman decided to stay silent for a few moments. "I'm biting my tongue because you are irritating the heck out of me," Cashman finally said. The host was bashing moves like Lidle, Wright, and Farnsworth and Cashman took offense.
  9. I want to go to an ROH show sometime when they come to Chicago.
  10. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) I haven't been able to see the matches, but I did find out that (highlight to see winner) Nick Gage won the whole thing. It was a few three way dances in the beginning and then set up for the final four way match in the finals. Some of the spots included: *light tube shots and barbed wire ropes *suplexes into a barb wire spider web *an eyebrow ring being cut out via scissors *hip toss off a moving truck through four tables *2 wheedwhacker shots (the string part) to the gut *cannonball senton off of a moving truck onto two other wrestlers through plate glass and tables I thought this was a wrestling thread. This stuff sound horrible.
  11. Just humorous just how much like clockwork it is. 6th inning he implodes. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me three times?
  12. It wouldn't be much better, but I think I'd rather have Pods out there when Anderson sits. BTW, why is Anderson sitting?
  13. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:28 AM) It just blows my mind how much money unproven rookies in the NFL are getting guaranteed. You have a great college career and decent athletecism at the combine, you are set for life, regardless of your NFL accomplishments. PS. This has nothing to do with Reggie, I'm not saying he's going to bust at all, just rookies in general. Wish the NFL did something like picks 1-10 get a certain deal and so on like that.
  14. Great game, but do we need a thread for a team that will be the 2nd best college basketball team in Illinois this coming season?
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) Nope, it's supposed to be for two low level prospects who aren't studs. If that is the case, I'm amazed how many teams help the Yankees out so much like this. Just giving them players.
  16. ESPNews reports Reggie Bush and the Saints have agreed to terms on a six-year contract. Details to follow, but the doomsday holdout scenarios played out in the media hardly came true. Bush only missed a few practices and the Saints offense will be geared around him. He's a hot topic of debate in fantasy leagues, but we believe Bush can put up numbers close to Brian Westbrook, which makes him a late RB2 at worst. Jul. 29 - 10:48 pm et
  17. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 07:54 PM) Hopefully he'll stop making movies now. Yeah, I hate good movies.
  18. Farmer says that Garland has been sick since last night.
