  1. Interesting. Come on Pods. Pull one about 316 feet down that right field line.
  2. Just like last year, lose Game 1 behind a decent job by El Duque than win the next 2.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 08:34 PM) Against the Yankees, I'll take Contreras start every time. He didn't get a lot of help from the umpires/defense tonight. Agreed, he pitched over Ozuna's misplay but Dye not getting to that ball hurt, mixed with the umpire's blindness that one inning.
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 08:34 PM) I don't really think 4 ER over 7 is "solid". By today's standards, it can be, depends on if it was one bad inning and such. Jose should of been lifted to start the 8th, or left in to get out of it. Just the micro managing gets on my nerves.
  5. Micro managing just irks me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it always kills me. And above, I see I'm not the only one.
  6. My pet peev. Ozzie lets his guy start the inning, but if he gets on, pulls him. Like nails on a chalkboard.
  7. Someone needs to sit Runge down and show him a copy of this game.
  8. I'm not one of the Widger bashers here, but damn, he can't even hit a ball down the middle hard or into the outfield.
  9. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) Thanks.
  10. Should of been rung up the pitch before. Wha a joke.
  11. Mark Teahan is hot. Get your head out of your ass now, ump!
  12. Treating Aaron Gueil like he is Barry Bonds in his prime.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Count making it look REAL easy right now. I luuuuv 1 pitch AB's that result in outs for the Yankees.
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) If Contreras ends up having an excellent outing tonight I expect Widger to be praised. If you're going to drag him through the mud when the starters suck, I expect him to be be praised when they excel. Agreed. To already blast him in the 1st inning, for no reason as it seems...who knows where the ball was and it didn't hurt us, is ridiculous.
  15. Say what you want about the Yankee line up, but I have talked to some Yankee fans at the gym and they actually like their team. Veterans mixed with some young guys who wanna win, like it was back in the late 90's. They would obviously like some pitching help though. If Melky Cabrera has a good game, guess I can't be surprised.
