  1. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 5, 2006 -> 09:42 PM) Bold prediction: these local fans are going to eat Salisbury alive. Unless this Rosenbloom is able to speak intelligently on local sports--and I'll be the first to admit I am not familiar with him--these two are done in six months' time. Rosenbloom has been covering Chicago a long time. He used to do a show on the Score on Saturdays and I liked it. I think he will be fine. Salisbury is just a nationally known name. Curious what this will do for his studio work at ESPN.
  2. Thanks, but looking for one that is completely empty.
  3. Anyone have a pic of an empty Wrigley Field? Like before a game or the offseason? I know what your thinking but making something. Thanks
  4. "Liscense to Drive" is about to start on one of the HBO's! Hell yeah! I used to watch that movie all the time when I was younger.
  5. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ May 4, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) Me and the girl at Jimbos before opening day..... How does a Buckeye fan get a girl like that?
  6. I like Rosenbloom when he did the Saturday show on 670. Salisbury can sound pompus at times. Hope it works.
  7. Not at all. I'm with you. Look at the NL West, its garbage. If the Mets are the best in the East, that is sad. Cardinals are the best in the NL and they have problems with their bullpen and some starters. I'd say White Sox, Clevelan, Anahiem, Oakland, NY, and Boston are the best 6 in the MLB.
  8. That may of been a Tony introduction, Peter!
  9. She has a few short circuits in her bionic implants. But yeah, she's smokin!

    QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 09:10 AM) Is it just a re-enactment on a time line? If so, how is it different than say a Dateline piece? I haven't seen the film and I'm not challenging you to defend your liking it. I'm just curious. It is almost real time, ending with the crash in Pennsylvania so we never see the towers collapsing. This may sound stupid, but I don't want to give anything away. It is mostly taking place in air traffic control as the day develops than they show United 93 boarding and being stuck in the runway. It is not a documentary. We are there observing as the day unfolds. Hard to put into words but all I can say is it is done the right way, and does not exploite anything. Obviously we don't know what happened on that plane except for the phone calls and some stuff in the film may or may not have happened, such as the terrorist flying the plane tapes a picture of the Capital building in front of him. I never knew it was confirmed that is where that plane was suppose to go. I'd be more skeptical of Oliver North's movie coming out in August than United 93.

    Went and caught "United 93" this afternoon. Very well made. The majority of the film is 9/11 from the view point of air traffic control which I thought was interesting. The first hour is them edited with United 93 boarding, waiting on the runway, etc. The film only contains events that we know happened on the plane based on phone calls and such. For the first hour, I had an uneasy feeling in my stomach. Just the suspense building up from what inevitably was going to happen. I agree with all the critics in that it is well done, does not exploit anything, and is a movie, if you can handle it, should be seen.

    I was not going to go see it when it comes out, but "United 93" is getting GREAT reviews everywhere. It supposedly doesn't exploite anything and is extremely powerful and a movie that should be seen. I'm gonna have to check it out Fri afternoon.

    Soprano's Sunday...

    No sweat above for spoilers. Didn't ruin anything for me. Comcast finally added it this morning. It still wasn't up ON Demand last night. I loved when Artie knocked Vinny from Doogie Howser around. I hate that little deusche. Poor Lauren Becall.
  16. Sox won the World Series, the trade was worth it.

    Soprano's Sunday...

    Friggin HBO or Comcast! Wasn't home to watch last night but wanted to watch it On Demand before work and as of 10:30am, it is not available yet. Gonna have to wait all day now.
  18. We could have some photoshop fun with these pics.
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 07:34 AM) That's a Mardi Gras tree. Duh. Than take the Mardi Gras tree down.
