  1. For some reason, I doubt he really cares. He only came back to avoid paying Miami back money he got, right?
  2. QUOTE(danman31 @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) I was able to watch some of the GBN game on tv because I'm home this weekend and I'm impressed at the development of the supporting cast. Every year the team improves tons as the year goes on. I have faith GBN will get it done again this year, but it's not going to be easy because everyone is gunning for them.

    Did you know Sleepless in Seattle was suppose to be a thriller before it was a romantic comedy? Original trailer
  4. Forgot to post that Warren routed Stevenson...yawn and than routed New Trier tonight. Nobody mentioned GBN over Proviso East in impressive fashion today. Scheyer had an off afternoon and other guys stepped up for the SPartans.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 10:26 PM) Gtown-Nova not on tv tomorrow. Why aren't you on IM? I need SIU details. I may be demanding the transfer of Rowand44 to Illinois State. The SIU basketball program has gone downhill since his arrival at Carbondale.
  6. Warren and Stevenson in Gurnee tonight. I hate Stevenson and every kid that ever went there

    QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 12:22 PM) Has anyone seen 'Elephant' by Gus van Zandt? It's based on the Columbine murders, although he doesn't use the same names and details. Yes. I liked it. Very well edited. A tad slow at the beginning with no real narrative. Not sure if it is based on the Columbine incident specifically, just an interpretation.

    I was skeptical about this movie when I heard about it a year or so ago, but after reading about it, I'm not totally against it. Supposedly, Oliver Stone is not going to show the planes flying into the buildings or anything that would be "distasteful", if that is the right word. Not to mention it is based on a true story.
  10. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) http://www.pro-wrestling.com/newsart/16060.php Ha, looks like it was kinda true. WrestleMania is April 2nd, same night as Opening NIght. I doubt AJ would of been able to make an appearance.
  11. QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) pffft, you guys look up to us geographically......and every other way. ...sorry, i really apologize for that one. I'm still mad about that game in Vegas back in 2001. SIU had the Illini down 5 with 2 minutes left and we blew it. I was getting phone numbers ready to call to talk trash.
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) SIU >>> Illinois Duh!
  13. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) The crazy thing was that there was a Jaws marathon on yesterday. I think it was on the Sci-Fi Channel but it might have been something else. Anyways I remember seeing Jaws 2 and Jaws 3 on it, but I've never watched either of them before. 2 is watchable since it has Brody, but 3 was downright awful and don't get me started on 4. Like the shark is gonna follow the lady to the Bahamas.
  14. Where is Ozzie? I can't find him in the pictures.
  15. Hope he doesn't need a bigger casket.

    What is this...

    I was gonna guess my Soxtalk Awards trophy case, or even my Soxtalk Nominations trophy case.
  17. Warren ends their 3 games in 3 days streak with a win over Hoffman Estates at Loyola University. They won by about 12 but it was closer. Warren was sluggish after last nights game it seemed.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) Warren and Proviso East was interesting. Warren was WAY better coached, but PV East had more talent and was so much bigger. Carlwell has A FREAKING TON of talent, but is very raw, you can tell he hasn't received good coaching. To be honest though, once he gets some time in Champaign under Bruce, I think he is going to be a star in the Big 10, but he's not going to be some 1 and done guy. Warren played like a 5 guard lineup, but I was really impressed by it. Ceola Clark is a player (I hope NIU gets him, only a junior) and the 2 football players, Moore (going to Iowa State, yay Heads!! lol) and Lewis (yay NIU!!) are great athletes. Carlwell was getting pushed around by guys a lot smaller than him and was getting frustrated. Pullen killed Warren. Bembry was the player of the game for Warren and the only big time player who hasn't signed anywhere. He turned some heads. His big block near the end of regulation brought Welsh Ryan to their feet. Ceola and Logan Derrick are both getting looked at by SIU which is interesting. Going to Warren vs. Hoffman Estates at Loyola today.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 10:56 PM) Mike Conley. How dare you correct me.
  20. Lots of fun tonight at Welsh Ryan. Warren lost 71-70 in OT to Proviso Easy. Jordan Dauton hit a 3 for Warren at the buzzer in regulation and Warren had a 3 point lead with a minute left in OT before making some mistakes. Lawrence North beat GBN by 18. Scheyer had his but GBN was exploited for being a one man team while Lawrence North has a few other guys besides Oden. The point guard who is going to OSU with ODen, Conway I believe, is a top notch player. Without him, Lawrence wouldn't be as good. GBN was the 4th best team on the floor tonight. Carlwell and Oden seemed to be getting the superstar treatment. Carlwell should of had 2 fouls in the first quarter when Warren was going right at him and no whistles. Oden got the benefit of a few continuation calls. Scheyer was all ove rthe place, I just don't think he has any help to win or possibly even get to state.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) Time for some real bball now as SIU-Creighton about to tip off. I'll have it on Gamecast at work and before I head to Northwestern for the high school double header.
  22. Unreal. The choke against Ohio State was a sign of things to come. Losing to Purude...unacceptable.
