  1. Did that pitch look like it was gonna make it to the plate?
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) I'm not a fan of Crede, but if we lose this game, Buehrle is the goat. We gave him enough runs that we should have expected a win with him on the mound, and he s*** the bed tonight. DING!
  3. TV just said sprained ankle and getting precautionary X-rays

    Weird?

Used to watch Thundercats all the time when I was young, but I wouldn't buy it. Just to take some heat off you, I buy the seasons of Quantum Leap when they are released.
  5. Maybe alone here, but I think the short turnout for preseason games is overrated. 1st string isn't out there that mutch anyway. Still practice.
  6. QUOTE(soxhawks @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) warren will destroy stevenson this year, i play for lake forest and i have seen both teams play for the last three years, and warren is way more talented than stevenson My dad just retired from Lake Forest. Lovie Smith's son is a RB there now.
  7. QUOTE(rcpweiner @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:28 PM) Two hours? Jesus! That's a lot of calories! Go eat some pasta. Protien shake, you mean.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) I go to NIU, and your guys gave us the scare of our lives last year, and as Huskie Stadium no less, where we never lose (except to Toledo ) Yep, Coach Kill went for the W, instead of the tie and failed. I can't blame him.
  9. I liked last season pretty much every week. Season Finale was top notch. Last season reminded me of Season 1 and 2 when a lot was going on and was entertaining. Season 3 and 4 had their moments but left a lot to be desired.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) Exactly. I remember last year how Stevenson beat some team in their own conference in the playoffs, I forgot who it was though.... Me 2. I bet the refs were bad.
  11. QUOTE(Benson&Rexage @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) This must be the Texas branch of Sox talk. High School football are you serious? Way too much pressure is put on high school kids today to perform so a lot of kids quit and never play again. When I was in high school the starting center on the basketball team quit as a soph and our best tail back and corners quit after thier junior years because too much is asked of kids today. If you cant go out and have some beers with your buddies in high school because of sports than something is wrong. Sports are not the most imporant thing in the world. but the assholes who think they are ruin them for everyone else You're acting like we are betting on games and such. We have this thread every year. Fun to check in on Fri or Sat nights to keep up on schools. Most of us are out of school and just follow our alma mater's.
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) Just had to sound off. I got one more year of being a part time worker now. The internship was an awesome experience and I got an offer extended today to join the company as an associate when I graduate. Wish I was so lucky. But I did find a lesser tier job. Gotta work my way up, I guess.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) I'm not gonna get into the semantics of it, but there's a definite difference between the Gateway Conference and the Pioneer League. Dear God, I'm arguing I-AA football.... My Salukis are ranked #3 preseason! Last two years they lost in the 1st round after good seasons.
  14. Bruce almost called that a strike. Shoulda been.
  15. Is Brantley doing the game for ESPN? I wanna know his opinion.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) He should pitch against both, I just don't understand what's going on with Hermy. Is he hurt, is he healthy? If he can pitch he should have been in to start this inning. Short porch in right, Ozzie probably wants left vs. Lefty in case Hermanson hangs his splitter.
