QUOTE(Finkelstein @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) Actually they did say that the tag got him on the helmet. After Scotty's hand was on the bag. Initial tag was a phantom tag. No matter cuz the next two guys went down. Let's move on.
-
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) Wait a minute...wait a minute...LOL...ROFLMAO...you are complaing the tag missed him and you are listening to the radio broadcast? With the TV on. I don't listen to Hawk and DJ.
-
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 05:12 PM) Did not. If you want to complain about the FIRST f'ing pitch of the night, go ahead...that was garbage. But, the tag was on him. Scotty was out. You want to bash people the first inning, open your eyes. He missed the tag. Rooney and Farmer said so.

nice call, froemming, tag missed

We're screwed. Froemming and Wendlestedt umpire crew this series.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) No outlash.. but in it's defense how can you comment on it's importance if you've never seen it Brian..? And to answer your question - and having watched it from the start - I put it up there. You got me. I guess I kind of meant that it's not known like the Sopranos is known. How Sopranos is quoted and how everyone knows the characters, whether you seen or it or not. Anywho, This season of Entourage is top notch. I was worried if they could keep finding storylines for everyone, but they do and it's a riot and entertaining.
-
I never watched it, but before Entourage last night, I saw the little commercial about it being the last season and actors saying how important the show is in the history of TV. Come on, I understand it is popular, but can you put it on the same level as Sopranos, Sex and the City, Seinfeld, Simpsons, even Larry Sanders? With all due respect, people will have forgotten about this show in a few years. Let me brace my self for the outlash from it's diehards.

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) Warren will be dominated by New Trier I know nothing about New Trier but I will be at this game. Marcus Lewis and Mitchell Moore are two good weapons for Warren. Moore could be a division 1 back. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) To bad I have to miss the Fins beat the crap out of your bears tonight. Bad timing for this game. If you don't like the Bears now, wait until mid September and you will REALLY be hating the Rams and their fans.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) If we're facing Oakland, I'm going with Freddy in Game 2 of that game because IIRC, he pitches pretty decent against them. Buehrle probably would be my #1. In fact, I would set up so Freddy could play the day game. Right now, it's honestly too hard to tell. If it was up to me, Freddy wouldn't pitch one home game, unless absolutely necessary.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) One out of twenty is not the worst ratio i suppose. The dude is a moron and i can't see how it is debatable. He almost always is the last to report anything. My favorite is when a day and a half later he announced with is ''breaking news'' that the indians signed alex cora. If Bruce reports a rumor and it doesn't happen, that's not his fault. How do you know something wasn't being talked about and fell through? Bruce has been covering baseball since the 60's or 70's. To say he is a moron is ignorant. He has seen things and met people that you can only dream of.

Can't copy and paste it. It is like a flash document where you turn pages and stuff.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) :sleep :finger Aren't you in Carbondale, yet? -
Depends on who we play. If we play Oakland, I'd go Garland, Buehrle, Garcia. Just because Garland beat em the two times we won. No Byrnes means Buehrle maybe more successful against them. If Anahiem, I'd go Buehrle, Garland, Garcia. If Boston or NY, I may have to work El Duque into there, depending on how he does tonight.

Doubles start this week or next for most schools. Warren Township High School Blue Devils should be decent. They have a division 1 running back in Mitchell Moore. Iowa is in pursuit of him among a few other big schools. First game is the 26th AT New Trier, I believe. -
QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) I will always remeber the job he did during and after the 9/11 attacks. He was like the article said a calm soothing voice during a horrible time for the country. RIP Absolutely. He was the air for almost 60 hours straight I read.
-
SHeesh. It really took him fast. Horrible disease. He went off the air only about a month or so ago, right?

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) During the playoff season from a couple of years ago, White Sox were down 1 against the Yankees and Rivera after a long rain delay. Carlos homered to tie the game leading off, and then Valentin had a bloop single to win it. Great game for the few that stayed during the delay. I remember watching at home and flipping away at the commercial and came back to see Carlos rounding the bases. I was pissed I missed it, but loved Valentin's broken bat single to win it.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 08:17 PM) the big 10 needs to add another team so we can have a title game, it sucks we miss out on an exciting game like that. Notre Dame fears a tough schedule beginning to end. -
I guess "rake" is an overstatement but still very good there. I knew he killed Mussina though.

Damn, out of the 11 regular season games, Michigan only has 4 road games. At Wisconsin, At Iowa, at MSU, all will be tough, than at Northwestern. -
Remember back in 93 when Appier and Fernandez had a pitchers duel going. Bottom of the 8th, Sox down 2-1, Jeff Montgomery was brought in to face Frank with a guy on base and Frank took him yard. Sox won 3-2. I was at the 2000 game where Jeff Abbott went yard in the bottom of the 9th off the Twins in May. Any game at when the Sox won, I had a blast. Than there were games in 2002 against Montreal. VLad taking Foulke yard in the 9th and another where CLee got picked off 3rd to end the game and Sox lose by 1.

The media loves New York and Mariano Rivera is lights out.

Too bad there is no Frank, he owns Mussina and rakes at Yankee Stadium.
