  1. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Youd be stupid to steal the info from bruce there all false. Yeah, he was way off base when he reported the Ozzie extension 2 weeks before it happened. :headshake

    The Island

I liked Scarlett in that movie. But that is it.
  3. I remember reading about him when the recruited him. They could play Hart and him together this year. Could be fun.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Who's warming up? Can Ozzie resist using Jenks as a closer, like he's said he wants to do sometime this year? Maybe after we clinch. If we are up 3 sometime and Hermanson has gone maybe 2 or 3 days in a row, I'd like to see it.
  5. Red Sox beat Twins 11-7. Jaque Jonnes came up with the bags loaded but Schilling K'd him on 3 pitches.
  6. QUOTE(brijames @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Great job by Garland. He should be done for the day. After 82 pitches? Hell no!
  7. 82 pitches for Jon through 7. Leave him out there.
  8. Eckstein hit a walk off grand slam for St. Louis to beat Atlanta. Killed it.
  9. Bring back Blackjack! He adds 100% more than DJ to a broadcast. DJ was like the 3rd wheel when he was up there.
  10. Harris has had a good slider all day. About time he hung one.
  11. Ichiro grounds out, Bloomquist K's. Ibanez grounds out.
  12. Nice Fisk statue. I still remember the day I got his autograph and an SIU/ISU baseball game. His son, Casey, was getting shelled and he was walking in the parking lot with his dog. I was like 10 years old and too nervous to go ask him. I knew the SIU baseball coach so I got a ball from him for Carlton to sign but was still too shy. Than some hot college girl offered to go with me, so I did. He signed in right away and I have it right here in a ball case.
  13. His kind of town? Aug 4 - The White Sox are still in hot pursuit of the Reds' Ken Griffey Jr., the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Chicago reportedly had been trying to land the 35-year-old center fielder before the non-waiver deadline. According to The Chicago Tribune, Griffey is owed $12.5 million each year through 2008. The Reds hold a $16.5 million option or $4 million buyout for 2009.
  14. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) look out for purdue as a darkhouse in the big 10 With that cupcake schedule, they should be.
  15. Crede is probably just Designated, not a Hitter.
  16. Does Gail Fischer have one too many buttons unbottoned on that jacket?
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) We faced 3 good Oakland pitchers. Three good Detroit pitchers. A couple of deceent Toronto pitchers. Listen. We've scored 5 or more runs at home in 10 of our last 15 home games. THAT IS NOT AN OFFENSIVE SLUMP. We just havne't been winning all the close games. It's just a little team slump, and in between, we've played great at home. I should specify that I want our home play to improve. We scored a bunch in Baltimore, but something goes wrong at home for some reason.
  18. AT the way our offense approach is going, Aaron Small will look like a young David Cone against us in NY.
  19. Way to make it easy for them. Enter Eddie.
  20. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) And we are still 34-21 at home. It's a slump. It happens. Offensive slumps happen for a weak or so, not 3 weeks or so.
