Sound of Metal was excellent.
Hopefully I can see Nomadland somehow. May go across border to see “News of the World” tomorrow.
Promising Young Woman should be on demand next week.
I annually like to mock Illini fans for blaming the refs for all their faults, but the refs were pretty atrocious last night. No flow to the game and that Kofi F1 was terrible.
Despite that, Mizz played harder and Ayo had no help most of the night.
Only 60. Shouldn't speculate, but I'm guessing heart problems. All the steroids and road life wears on these guys.
Road Warriors intimidated the hell out of me as a kid.
My sister is a teacher in Arizona and it is a constant daily struggle. The district is all over the place with no real plan. I don't talk to her much but get 2nd hand stories from my parents. They do a hybrid schedule, whatever that means, but you can imagine how some parents in AZ are.
On top of that Cox has a monopoly on internet out there. They are not the only company but they are the best, which isnt saying much. When she WFH, it is constantly going out, so she ends up having to go work in her empty classroom anyway. My sister called and an agent said they can't handle all the traffic from people WFH and students learning at home, and aren't upgrading. They charge up the nose but their internet sucks.
I would not want anyone to die or get sick with a disease that we know nothing about and that has no vaccine, no matter how much I disapprove of a President.
Just because something doesn't happen to someone, doesn't mean something is fake or a hoax. There is plenty of evidence out there that COVID is very real. It is not just limited to the US. It is all over the globe. I believe in medicine and science.
And I would rather overreact than under-react. Other countries have gotten it under control because they acted promptly and didn't politicize simple prevention, like masks.
I don't remember ever hearing she was diagnosed, not that it had to be made public, but this one is super sad to me. I had such a crush on her after I saw Twins as a kid.
Cancer sucks.
I didn't think it was for me but it is pretty incredible.
I was more into the choreography and structure than the actual story. Just so flawless and quite the feat.
Oof.
Who knows how movie chains will succeed now. Not gonna have sell outs for awhile.
I love going to the theatre but not sure I will be for awhile now. Unless it’s something I really want to see.
