  1. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) And what's wrong with Flaxxipedia, pray tell?? A liberal bias.
  2. thank god for wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil%27s_Lak...North_Dakota%29
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) Yeah, I know, but it is just funny to hear people say things like that, when in reality, it would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Yup, but it represents how passionate and serious some Canadian government people are about stopping this project. I believe Minnesota also wants further investigation before it goes into effect. Of course the North Dakotans are saying that we're just making the stats up and such, well then if we are they wouldn't be afraid of letting a larger study be completed. here's a better example of how some feel http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...Story/National/

    QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) that should be in bright, Christmas green. lol I love Heather.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) Never heard of it, but it is funny to hear the Canadians threaten the US economically as their economy is utterly dependant on the US consumers. Heck we should just cut of their US subsidized medicines and see how long they last. I wouldn't worry about anything happening. Our governments seems very friendly right now.
  6. I just hope in Moore's next movie about health care he doesn't use Canada's system as something the US can strive for. but that article seems to make it seem that Canada's system is worse than America's, here I don't think I agree. http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20...1e28gerber.html
  7. http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/news/11915527.htm And you thought Durbin had harsh words. In all seriousness though does anyone on here know anything about the Devil's Lake project. Because Canadians are very very concerned.
  8. QUOTE(winodj @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) Impeachment requires a party in control of Congress willing to throw the President overboard. In today's partisan Senate, if Bush had a D after his name, you might be right. Today, its *yawn.* After all, look at Tom DeLay. Still kicking. Sadly. I guess I have too much faith in the rest of the Republicans.
  9. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) And the nation yawns and hits the snooze button. Credible evidence that the Administration may have lied to Congress and to the nation to get authorization and support for the war, and barely a ripple. Now, if it had been an extramarital Oval Office bj on the other hand, then everybody would be up in arms. It makes perfect sense. Don't be so sure that this is being ignored Jim. Terrible approval rates + lying to start a war that probably could have been fought truthfully= impeachment

  11. There's a long shot the file could be inside the TEMP folder of the Windows folder. But if you were watching a stream of a newscast or sports highlights or something it wouldn't stay on your hard drive.

    QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Carla Gugino... I sure hope you saw Sin City.
  13. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) :o That's just f***ing wrong. That bastard who reported this needs to rot in hell, and should be sued for it. If f***ing Hannity or Limbaugh pick up on this, I swear, I will personally launch into a crusade to tell everyone I know to NOT listen to them. This is below the belt. That's why I kind of hope Hillary doesn't run for Prez. Considering how much mud was slinged at 2 pretty clean guys like Kerry and McCain I can't imagine how much Hillary would face.
  14. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) I didn't vote for him... I voted for George Bush... what he says means nothing to me.. I didn't vote for him either
  15. That's just all I remember about it, thanks for the link. But I'll probably never be 100% sure about the circumstances around 9/11 just like I can't be 100% sure that Bill Clinton didn't rape Hillary. lol http://leverkuhn.redstate.org/story/2005/6/13/23835/8532
  16. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) he's "former" CIA... why??? I'd much prefer to trust the person I voted for, President Bush, than some guy who no longer works for the CIA... If I didn't trust him I wouldn't have voted for him... it's a shame that the democrats or liberals haven't learned from the nov. elections... it's pretty simple.. 51% conservative.. 49% liberal.. the liberals lost and will continue the attack until 2008, and if they run hillary... just more evidence that the democratic party ignored the results from 2004... man I wish there was a game tonight... I'm bored... You're right to doubt him, so do I. But I don't think you can say anything until you watch the frontline epiosde or read the interview. I believe the question you asked is answered by him.
  17. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) Even after the OBL tape? That plus everything else, I'm pretty convinced. Are you talking about where he makes a hand gesture about the buildings falling and having a chuckle? That's a good point but I'm sure many in that whole "death to America" crowd were quite happy, with their whole dancing on the streets thing. All the conspiracies are probably only that, but the opportunism that the Bush adminstration has shown after the attacks forces some to question 9/11, sadly, naturally.
  18. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) and your side of things is stopping that from happening. It is YOU who deny these people a day in court not us. And it's all Clinton's fault for letting 9/11 happen I hope by 'your side of things' you only mean people against Guantanamo not liberal, because this has become a much more complex issue than that. And please explain how people against how Gitmo is run are delaying court procedures, I'm not following.
  19. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Is that at least the suggestion that you're floating, if not arguing? B/c that's what I take away from the conspiracy websites that discuss this Silverstein quote. And then what is your position on all this conspiracy garbage? Even if it's not really Dante, I like the "hottest places in hell" maxim. On 9/11 and the reaction, I side firmly w/ the Bush administration. As much as I would like to see the Bushies out of office, they did right here (at least in the immediate reaction). Theories like these sound like very crass attempts to cash in on 9/11 by the left -- by claiming that Bush actually conspired to murder thousands of people in order to pass something like the Patriot Act. It's disgusting and baseless and no more worthy of mention than any random Area 51 X Files fan post. A zero. I'd merely say it's a slight possibility that I won't completely dispel. There are obvious ways the Bush administration had earned criticism, ways that are in no way created through conspiracy theories. Also I think many believe it wasn't Bush or his administration but a group other than the over-hyped Al-Qaeda responsible for the 9/11 attacks.
  20. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/sh...iews/khadr.html A Frontline was done on this man, and he was on the inside of Guantanamo and he doesn't seem to think that they're just a bunch of terrorists. view whole program online here http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/khadr/view/ But a warning, he's brown so he's probably not telling the truth. Oh and PBS did this report as an obvious attempt to harm the Bush Administration.

  23. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) Link to a Popular Mechanics article analyzing a bunch of these...I don't know, I don't even think they qualify as "ideas". Basic conclusion, they're all crap, w/ much dishonesty used to spread the disinformation. But hey, what do specialists, scientists, and engineers really have on self fancying Clancy crazies, right? Good read but didn't even reply to this at all I guess they just think they never "pulled it" edit: also one of those pictures shows one of the towers coming down and it certainly wasn't coming straight down.
