  1. Damnit, we export more than import, so not good news for our economy, but good for drivers.

  3. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 03:03 AM) I've felt crows were evil, since I first saw Hitchcock's "The Birds". They're remaking that movie.
  4. Went on a "man date" tonight and saw Amittyville Horror. It was pretty scary but certainly wasn't very creative in doing so. It was the old, quiet, quiet, quiet, bang!!!11!! This method also loses lots of its effect once it leaves the big screen, so when I see it again if I ever do it probably won't be as good. small spoliers Big ups to Ryan Reynolds though, he did a great job in converting from nice guy to psychopathe. Especially considering he always plays more of a goof ball in movies, I doubt Ashton Kutcher could have ever pulled something like this off.

  6. Just watched Shogun Assassin! Here's a little thing I wrote about it on film-talk.com:
  7. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Please provide some statistics that would prove otherwise. When I walk to the bus stop there are effects on animal life. We, as members of the world should take steps to reduce the proverbial footstep we leave on the earth. There will be effects on wildlife, everything is interconnected.
  8. Looks very funny trailer http://www.upforgrabsmovie.com/trailerclips.html
  9. I don't understand this idea of the 3 stories meshing. Sin City was 3 stories for 3 comic books was it not?
  10. Bizarre that we seem to agree on the Asian films but are so differing on this. Whatevs
  11. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) I have not seen it yet but i find it hard to believe it is the worst movie you have ever seen. I sure as hell know it won't be the worst movie i have ever seen and i watch at least two movies a day. Too many good things have been said about it to be that bad. Every place has it at the very worst an 8 out of 10. Yah I kind of want a deeper explanation as to why Jason didn't like it. He mentioned the special effects but I thought it was the characters that were the stars, especially Mickey Rourke.
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) HEro was a really cool movie. I remember as the movie progressed It just kept getting better and better in my mind until I the end when I just said Damn that was a great movie. I was hoping House of Flying Daggers would too, but it never happened. The action was fantastic in HOFD, probably on par with Hero so I guess there was just really something about the Hero story that got to me. I'd also like to think that the romance wasn't the reason I didn't like the story in HOFD, but it probably was.
  13. QUOTE(UHOHBYEBYE @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) Who would you rather have playing RF instead of Dye. It has to be someone within our organization. My vote is for Brian Anderson. Bob Hamelin
  14. Yah I saw House of Flying Daggers, great disapointment for me in comparison to Hero. But I should have expected it as Hero is one of my favorites of all time.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) I'll make sure to stay far away from that theatre. SinCity was singlehandedly the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life. I've seen some bad movies (and a lot of movies) and my god was it HORRID. People talk about the effects and ya they were cool, but the film was s***, absolute s***.
  16. http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=7308 Hopefully this is true.
  17. Well I'm not a big zombie fan like some are, but when the original Zombie director returns to the Zombie genre after 20 years I take notice.
  18. http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/georgearom...dofthedead.html Zombies!
  19. Do we have no choice but to field such a ridiculous lineup today because of injuries or has Ozzie lost his mind?
  20. QUOTE(Pale Hose Jon @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 10:41 AM) I think this has become a little to partisan, so i want to make an objective judgement. I have seen the first 2 parts of this 3 part series, and i think it is fantastic. It is not all that biased, but there is a clear hatred for Neo-cons in the movie. I think it does an excellent job of describing how anti american sentiments developed among the terrorists. As for KWF saying that the movie says there was no al queda, i never saw this in the movie, and in fact it seems like they are constantly talking about how al queda does exist. Oh yeah, and the soundtrack to this movie has to be fabulas, we all loved it in my Politics class Haha you're right on with the music, I've downloaded *cough bought a bunch of the songs. I wasn't clear enough, I mean Worldwide Organization and Sleeper Cells dont really exist, the movie makes these out to be myths. Al-Qaeda exists, but not in the way portrayed by the media in general.
  21. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) So, who flew those planes? Phantoms? Somebody call Scooby Doo! People "affiliated" with al-Qaeda, whatever the hell that means. Watch The Hamburg Cell and The Power of Nightmares. Does anyone have the answer to the first question I posed?
