some small spoilers in this biatch Wow just watched it, damn rights Mickey Rourke is the star of the film. Incredible performance and great film. This movie slits the throat of all other comic books movie and s***s down the gullet! This is the kind of s*** I feel privileged to view. Benicio Del Toro, Josh Hartnett, Clive Owen, Alexis Bledel, Powers Boothe, and Elijah Wood absolutely dominated their parts. Tommy Flanagan, Nicky Katt and Frank Miller were great surprises and the others didn't really disapoint. Rodriguez best film and maybe better than From Dusk Til Dawn, finally he got his act together after all the other crap he's made. Could it be coincidence that both his great movies had huge influence from Tarantino. Meanwhile while we're talking about Tarantino that was a great scene he directed with pez boy Rafferty, twisted and creative as always. Anyways, enough slurping there are a bunch of flaws. -For one the movie loses a lot of pace after the first story. Clive Owen and Bruce Willis, now matter how good couldn't quite keep up after Mickey but they were still good. -Special Effects were a little weird at times -The blood line was cut? Senator Roarke didn't look too old to have another kid, hell they were able to grow his son a wanker they could've figured out something for him. -Why didn't Hartigan get revenge on Bob (Madsen), sure he was a policeman and had protection and he would have been screwed again if he had, but he killed himself anyways. He should've hunted him down first. But I guess that's just my violent side. -Anyone ever hear the word 'Yeesh' used twice in movie? ... neither have I ------ Carla Cugino and Alexis Bledel are hotter than Jessica Alba. IMO Well there's my Sin City smorgasbord, if you like being entertained get down to Basin City and check out Sin City. P.S. anyone else think that Bruce Willis was taking a shot at Demi and Ashton when he talking of hooking up with Nancy said "there's the worst and the worst and then there's this"? 9/10 ...inserting into my top 20 films of all time

Well good news for fans of gritty dark movies that want to see more made. On Friday this movie made an estimated 12 million dollars which is almost 3 times as much as the next movie. source: boxofficemojo.com

Well from what I've learned recently is that the US sort of knew there was an offensive coming from the Vietcong or whatever you want to call them. The problem was they thought it was only going to be at Khesanh and not widespread across the country as it was. The US and and ARVN were able to stave off the Vietcong including massive bombing around Khesanh. Massive casualties were inflicted upon the Vietcong and it took them a few years to regenerate their forces for further offensives. While the US/ARVN won this battle they lost it in public opinion. People thought the US was winning and when the Vietcong were able to stage this incredible offensive everyone was up in arms. Also many commanders on the ground at that time were giving variable reports of what was really going on and I believe the CIA consistently reported that things weren't getting any better over there.

It would benefit him to get a few more starts under his belt at the lower levels and besides we already have a pretty solid starting 5. When you consider what we are paying them and unless there are injuries or Contreras goes to complete s*** we won't be seeing Brandon right away.

Let's not forget that the picking out of targets was to avoid World War III with China and Russia. Nixon on the other hand just said f*** it lets risk it all starting bombing Hanoi and mining Soviet utilized ports, risking it all. Of course as history says it didn't bring Russia or China in but it earned very little if anything. If a Republican administration was in power at the beginning of the war there is very little doubt in my mind that Nuclear weapons would have been used.

But bombing in the right place wouldn't have done s***, the NLF and PAVN were going to fight to the last man because they were fighting for their freedom, for most it wasn't for communism, they were fighting for their lives. And that's really the basic issue that was always ignored.

I'm in a class about the Vietnam War now and I can't believe how dumb this War was. There was such an ignorance of basic issues by the US government I'm surprised that there wasn't eventually a complete overthrow of the government, and then to go and elect Richard Nixon? WTF. As bad as it's going to sound if you were to assign good guy and bad guy in this war, the US would have to be the bad guy. THe US was lucky to have a guy like McNamara in there for as long as they did to fight the Joint Chiefs and make sure it didn't turn nuclear. don't hate me
