  2. Diary of a mad black woman Canada didn't even have that piece of junk in theatres.
  3. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) Yeah, life is great up north. http://www.fraserinstitute.ca/shared/readm...?sNav=nr&id=570 Like I said I'm no expert but I still feel more comfortable knowing "qualified citizens" are not allowed to walk around on the street with guns. Guns have the power to kill instantly and it's something not every civilian should have a right to. Like we're allowed to have guns but not a joint? The whole issue pisses me clean off and I'm sick of people saying they have this right to bear arms. I'm also not so confident on the way these numbers are provided at the link. There is no way Canada will ever be as violent with guns as the US. I hate this issue.
  4. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) Doesn't matter to me if most of the other countries dislike the U.S. That's the way it's going to have to be in the future I guess. Why?
  5. The Hyenas are used as intimidation for debt collectors
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) A Michael Moore point of view is an irrelevant point of view. :headshake Debateable but I'm sure the right wing of the Republican party hopes so.
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) It's nice to be liked. I think that just means what Australia's perception of China is, not the world's perception of Australia.
  8. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) If you speak highly of a gangster he is more likely to do you less harm. Then why doesn't this poll reflect the United States in a positive light?
  9. http://www.tehrantimes.com/Description.asp...5&Cat=4&Num=005 I'm not 100% on the accuracy of these reports as they've yet to be picked up by a main stream North American news source (only Chinese, Cuban, Iran, Marxist sources ).
  10. QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) Yeah I thought about that except every other ranking publication I've seen does it this way. It's rather odd if you ask me, but hey, I can change it if you want. Doesn't matter.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) Laws are only worth the paper they are written on. In the City of Chicago it is forbidden to own ANY gun, yet they have almost 1000 murders per year, mostly by guns. Well kind of like Michael Moore argues, no one really knows what's wrong with you guys when it comes to guns. I'm far from an expert on the subject so don't jump on me.
  12. I think I saw these pictures with an article once about how the gangs use their animals as intimidation.
  13. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) I thought that with all the gun control laws up there that Canada was free from all this senseless violence? That was my point when I said something like this has never happened to us before. Gun controls have helped us.
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4318551.stm I'm pretty stunned by this. I don't know where I got it from and really have no basis for it but I always thought China was really backwards and dangerous.
  15. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) That avatar is freaky. I guess you have to update your sig too? LOL great avatar Credepopsup. Or can I call you CPU?
  16. I watched Open Water last night. I was a little disapointed in it but it was a relatively fun movie and considering how little it was made for they did a good job. I also didn't like the ending. Anyone else seen it? 6/10
  17. Just a suggestion. Maybe you should start the article with the higher ranking players than the lower ranking players. So instead of Number 21 showing up first you see number 25 first. It makes it more suspenseful.
  18. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Iirc, you can have small amounts (less than an ounce) without penalty. But they have tough laws on growing/dealing/having large amount.s I'm not sure if that's right. I'm pretty sure that even having small amounts at this time is against the law. What you are talking about is what might be included in an attempted de-criminalization of pot which is on the table right now. Which would allow anyone to carry small amounts of pot. Anyways on this issue, it was quite a shocking occurence and was and still is our top news story as something like this hasn't happened since 1885, and even the incidents in 1885 were more a struggle for equal rights than attacks on police. Nonetheless the fact that something like this has really never happened says a lot about Canada.

  20. ---A quote from the journalist's partner The Bush administration can't afford for s*** like this to happen as the world is becoming increasingly distant from the United States. In this case the must do some major but kissing to the current Italy government, as they face an election against a leftist coalition next year. http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?t...storyID=7816127
  21. That should say February not January, and in February 2004 only 20 US soldiers were killed.

  23. http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/1627.asp Brazil, Russia, India, China, South African alliance Didn't see this in any North American news last month, but this is obviously a very important development.
  24. I have a Paulie rookie card where he has all the catcher's gear on and I think he's got someone caught in a pickle.
