  1. Glad to hear that you're okay.
  2. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) Not to mention that college professors are slanted VERY far to the left. Well doesn't that also concern you in that college professors are supposed to be very intelligent?
  3. Saudis now pressuring Lebanon to get out too
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) Does every industry have a bias? Could we call some industries liberal or conservative? Obviously Hollywood tends to be liberal, which ones are conservative? Automotive Industry Tobacco Industry EDIT: Oil Industry Weapons Industry Wal-Mart All the powerful industries
  5. QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) no shadow? No, that's not something that nobody would notice. Wow, Gene has created a spin off game.
  6. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Woa, calm down. I say it's fake, I was just pointing out Yatzee's misconception about the wheel. This is a very passionate issue for me Didn't mean to sound aggressive.
  7. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) There isn't a biker in front of him. That's his wheel that fell off. Okay but then the wheel should be in the reflection, and considering that it's higher than his head it should be visible.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) I don't think Cintron is available at this time. Arizona has him penciled in for the primary backup infield job ... which is a smart move by them. They signed Clayton and Counsell, neither of which are young. Things can change throught the course of spring training though. Holy crap Cintron is behind K-Layton for the starting shortstop position? Clayton had a decent year last year but was in Colorado, and two years ago Cintron was great, what gives? Is Clayton's defense that good?
  9. Wouldn't he have taken his hands off the steering wheel seeing as his head is about to turn to mulch. *MXC reference
  10. Good read. Seems like there are some very real positive movements in the region. However these can be interpreted in many ways. Including the War in Iraq is doing a good job encouraging the spread of democracy all over the middle east, or that democracy can be achieved through political pressures rather than war.
  11. While it looks a lot like it's shopped it looks like a girl is in the window gasping, right underneath the weird looking reflection. Also the white bar on the window looks very out of place. It looks really fake.
  12. QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) That's just how it came across to me, and apparently others as well. If no malice was intended, I apologize. No worries, I've said a lot of s*** on here. So I expect it.
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 03:50 AM) Considering that Canada has never had Fox News type outlet and have been only hearing one side of the issues, that might contribute to their liberal leanings. As for my point, Fox News has b**** slapped CNN, MSNBC, etc. They'll, in time, do the same to CBC unless the liberalists in Canada cause the gov't to pull the plug on them. Updating this thread: Fox News is now available in Canada and I'm getting it as a part of a free preview. I'm making it a goal of mine to actually watch one episode of The O'Reilly Factory. I don't think Fox News will ever be too important here though. As right now it's only a specialty channel, and for the majority, Canadians are more liberal. Sorry for bringing this crap thread back.
  14. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) Just as I dislike leftist conspiracy-theory freaks like Noam Chomsky. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one (although I agree that what they did to Padilla (or any other US citizen in his situation) was wrong). EDIT: State-run media certainly can get away with pursuing political agendas. The BBC has always maintained an anti-Bush sentiment. The CBC (also state-run) took that a step further by running a program called The Fifth Estate, which was essentially a vicious attack on the Fox News Channel. I'd like to correct what you said about the Fifth Estate. The Fifth Estate is similar to the PBS program frontline. It is a show which features documentaries on all things. So no Frontline is not a vicious attack on Fox News, but one of the documentaries shown does attack Fox News called Sticks and Stones. And I think it's a pretty good one. You can see it online here. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/sticksandstones.html

  17. QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 07:44 AM) It has since turned into a farce and a daily potshot at Bush and America by a Canadian that doesn't seem to mind living under American provided security, even if it is in an indirect way. While I'll admit I could have gone about it in a more professional manner, ie without the occasional smiley. The only place where I was anti-American that I can see is where I called Rumsfeld, Dumsfeld. It was never a daily potshot at Bush and especially America, but I'm obviously not surprised at how it offended (seeing as how in my second post of the thread, I said it should probably just be closed).
  18. lineup for tommorow facing right hander Jamey Wright -Podsednik LF -Iguchi 2B -Everett DH -Konerko 1B -Dye RF -Pierzynski C -Rowand CF -Crede 3B -Uribe SS EDIT:Position players expected to remain in game for 2 at-bats at least. 21. lol here's the thing about Young Buck http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1117044youngbuck1.html I assume he turned himself in, anyone have any other info?
  22. QUOTE(shagar69 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 11:35 PM) yea, they got their own clothing company and if IIRC G-Unit has also signed a deal with Reebok. Like I said before, G-Unit/Shady Aftermath own music right now So 3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 is wrong when he says it stands for Gangsta Unit now?
  23. QUOTE(shagar69 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) yea, he did stab someone at the source awards. I never knew that he was going to jail. Where did you see this? Well usually people go to jail when they stab someone. Sorry about being a smartass.
  24. QUOTE(shagar69 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) oh yea, hes still affiliated with interscope and underneath that shady/aftermath. What i found interesting was that i read on mtv.com that Interscope was about to drop The Game from its label, until 50 stepped in and promoted The Documentary. Im not sure that dre would be that upset. As long as Game is under his record label, hes happy im sure. And i cant say that im surpirsed by this. What do you expect when you just put some guy you just found on the west coast into an already existing rap group that was friends and grew up together (I know that 50, Banks, and Yayo literally grew up around the corner from each other in Southside Jamiaca Queens, not sure about Buck though, who is from the souht) Isn't Young Buck going to jail for stabbing some guy at the Source awards?
