  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) Whoa. I can see both sides of this issue and agree with certain points made from either perspective. I'm not going to get into the back and forth discussion other than to ask .... If someone has an avatar or signature that is offensive to another, regarldless of why it is offensive, why not just eliminate the offensive item? If a poster finds near nudity offensive, that person can choose not to open that thread. No problem. However, an offensive avatar will be found thoughout Soxtalk. It really all comes down to common courtesy. That's not a difficult concept to grasp, but one that seems to be forgotten all too often in this day and age. But isn't there an option to not see sigs and avatars?
  2. QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) Sounded like she just woke up. She was like ''eh, hello, who is this''. I was like this is a.j. Then she said she does not know an a.j. I told her i got it from paris *wink* and she was like oh that's cool. Then she asked why i called and i said i called the wrong number on accident. She asked how i know her and said i met her at a party... and so on. She must just be a friend of hers. After hundreds of them one finally answers. Wo0t SCORE!
  3. All you need to know about their DUIs, but I haven't really got anything that solid on their drug use. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/cheney_doc.html
  4. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) c'mon, exactly HOW MANY Catholic parishes were involved in the child abuse scandals? U.S. Catholic bishops receive 1,092 new sex abuse claims Read the article for much greater details.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) well why i never have and never will smoke marijuana i dont really hold it against him.. its more the DUI he got when he was in the 40's and than tried to pass it off as he was young..... :banghead From what I've read he was 30.
  6. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) I wasn't a big GWB fan until John Kerry came along..but at least Bush pretended to care about the issues that feel are important. It shouldn't be difficult at all to see it from that perspective. I don't think it's much of a moral thing as an inteligence thing. Many of you don't get it because you're still kids (under 22 is still a kid). Parents don't need to use their mistakes as bargaining chips for their kids to behave. Kids don't need a friend, they need authority and someone to hold them accountable. That's what f-ed up about our society over the last 20 years. Who cares what John Kerry did to get out of Vietnam, Who cares what George Bush did while on the path to discovering himself? I don't see how that has anything to do with morals?
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) It would be interesting to find out how people that decided to vote for Bush based on Moral Values and the like react to this. Smoking weed has nothing to do with morals, but I understand what you are saying. I will never know why Bush won the election on morals.
  8. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) I didn't think I would need to use the green. I better edit it. Oops sorry
  9. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) So what? It's not like he drives drunk or snorts coke. Umm I thought I saw someone say on here the other day that he was convicted of a DUI. Nonetheless I don't really give a s*** that he smoked the gange.
  10. Victoria Gotti and Pat O'Brien Can you give some more details on how this was found, maybe from the message board you got it from.

  14. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) it's efficient. with all the different styles of pics, couldn't get anything to look good consistently throughout... Who are all those peeps, I only know Toshiro Mifune. The guy on the left and the guy on the swing I recognize, and the guy on the right looks like Lawrence Harvey.
  15. Well I saw it tonight and your concerns about Keanu Reeves were correct in this case. Here's my mini-review from film-talk.com ---------- Wow some great special effects, maybe the greatest but... and a huge bunch of buts The pacing on this movie is pretty bad, I and most of the other people in the theatre never seemed to be pulled into the story and it dragged on at the same pace for basically the whole film. Keanu Reeves didn't fit the part at all and I'm not one of those who just hates on Keanu cause he always says "Whoa". His character was supposed to be badass and other than smoking a lot he didn't sell it at all. I mean he was supposed to be bangin' chicks without remorse and s*** like that, and Keanu Reeves could never have pulled off a character like that. Plus he looks like a pretty boy no matter what, despite the weak attempt with makeup to look ill. See now that guys looks mean, Reeves does not. (I never even read the comic and I still felt Reeves came up short of the mark) Also and this is probably just my bad for having a short attention span, I found myself not even listening to what the characters were even saying. I mean the Gabriel and Constantine relationship was superbly BORING. And this was obviously an important relationship to the film so...yah. Gavin Rossdale and Djimon Honsou were fun characters and played there roles fittingly. But Satan on the other hand played by Stormare(what I thought was a good decision on casting)was annoying and at the end of a long film like this didn't need an eccentric goof like him. Pruit Taylor Vince's character was also really weird and didn't fit very well in the film, was he an aid to Constantine searching for problems for Constantine to fix, did we really need him? I'll admit the character who found Destiny's Spear had a nice touch that car thing and then the cows was really beautiful Oh and the whole Angela and Isabelle twins part of the plot... uninteresting, but Rachel Weisz was solid as usual. On the whole it was interesting but not really satisfying 6/10 but thumbs down spoiler: This is one movie that does not need a sequel. Now that Constantine has turned complete pansy with the gum, will his character be even less edgy? Oh and what's with Shia Lebeouf's stupid hat?
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 02:32 AM) I have no idea how to relate to that, but damn you guys eat a lot of Pizza over there. Australian's dont eat much pizza?
  17. Paris Hilton finally starring in a mainstream movie instead of that straight to video s***. Her and Elisha Cuthbert star in the new horror movie House of Wax. http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/house_of_wax/large.html Doesn't actually look too bad.

  21. Yah I guess I shouldn't have looked it up in the dictionary. WHO IS THIS GUY!?!
  22. This bighurt guy is ridiculous he comes on here comparing Dan Rather to Bill O'Reilly and then blocks anyone who disagrees with him, then complains about people calling him ignorant. P.S. to whomever used jingoistic first in this thread, thanks. I had to look it up in the dictionary but it fits very well for some on this board.
  23. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) And Damaso is the only one with the high socks pulled up over his pants. Isn't that El Duque?
