  5. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) it's efficient. with all the different styles of pics, couldn't get anything to look good consistently throughout... Who are all those peeps, I only know Toshiro Mifune. The guy on the left and the guy on the swing I recognize, and the guy on the right looks like Lawrence Harvey.
  6. Well I saw it tonight and your concerns about Keanu Reeves were correct in this case. Here's my mini-review from film-talk.com ---------- Wow some great special effects, maybe the greatest but... and a huge bunch of buts The pacing on this movie is pretty bad, I and most of the other people in the theatre never seemed to be pulled into the story and it dragged on at the same pace for basically the whole film. Keanu Reeves didn't fit the part at all and I'm not one of those who just hates on Keanu cause he always says "Whoa". His character was supposed to be badass and other than smoking a lot he didn't sell it at all. I mean he was supposed to be bangin' chicks without remorse and s*** like that, and Keanu Reeves could never have pulled off a character like that. Plus he looks like a pretty boy no matter what, despite the weak attempt with makeup to look ill. See now that guys looks mean, Reeves does not. (I never even read the comic and I still felt Reeves came up short of the mark) Also and this is probably just my bad for having a short attention span, I found myself not even listening to what the characters were even saying. I mean the Gabriel and Constantine relationship was superbly BORING. And this was obviously an important relationship to the film so...yah. Gavin Rossdale and Djimon Honsou were fun characters and played there roles fittingly. But Satan on the other hand played by Stormare(what I thought was a good decision on casting)was annoying and at the end of a long film like this didn't need an eccentric goof like him. Pruit Taylor Vince's character was also really weird and didn't fit very well in the film, was he an aid to Constantine searching for problems for Constantine to fix, did we really need him? I'll admit the character who found Destiny's Spear had a nice touch that car thing and then the cows was really beautiful Oh and the whole Angela and Isabelle twins part of the plot... uninteresting, but Rachel Weisz was solid as usual. On the whole it was interesting but not really satisfying 6/10 but thumbs down spoiler: This is one movie that does not need a sequel. Now that Constantine has turned complete pansy with the gum, will his character be even less edgy? Oh and what's with Shia Lebeouf's stupid hat?
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 02:32 AM) I have no idea how to relate to that, but damn you guys eat a lot of Pizza over there. Australian's dont eat much pizza?
  8. Paris Hilton finally starring in a mainstream movie instead of that straight to video s***. Her and Elisha Cuthbert star in the new horror movie House of Wax. http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/house_of_wax/large.html Doesn't actually look too bad.
  9. Well there's at least 50 dead today in Baghdad and a bunch of smaller occurences around the country. 12. Yah I guess I shouldn't have looked it up in the dictionary. WHO IS THIS GUY!?!
  13. This bighurt guy is ridiculous he comes on here comparing Dan Rather to Bill O'Reilly and then blocks anyone who disagrees with him, then complains about people calling him ignorant. P.S. to whomever used jingoistic first in this thread, thanks. I had to look it up in the dictionary but it fits very well for some on this board.
  14. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) And Damaso is the only one with the high socks pulled up over his pants. Isn't that El Duque?
  15. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) How about when he created out of thin air a French newspaper. don't have a link right now Here we go http://mediamatters.org/items/200412230006 But then again bighurt blocked me so he'll go on living in his dream world. Or he could see this then shrug off media matters as pinko commie propaghanda. It's a lose lose for both of us.
  16. No, it's more like immature and tasteless. Do I really have to acknowledge the hypocrisy here. I'm not easily offended but I'm sure our WW2 veterans would be very much so at your insult. But then again you're probably mostly joking so whatever.
  17. How about when he created out of thin air a French newspaper. don't have a link right now
  18. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) Just a general question...if you were an ex-con, who would you be more likely to vote for/against? Would you be more likely to vote for/against a certain party? This is a good point, can someone show me where it says more felons vote democrat?
  19. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) A felony is a very serious crime and those who commit them show a blatant disregard for the law and the saftey and well being of those around them. Why should we let such people decide who runs things in this country. This is nothing more than the Democratic party scraping the bottom of the barrel of American society trolling for a few more votes. Pathetic! While you're probably not making this accusation, committing a felony does not mean you will "show a blatant disregard for the law and the saftey and well being of those around them" necessarily for the rest of your life. In my opinion when your time has been done no matter what the crime, you should be given a second chance.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) Driving an SUV is bad for your health? How does that work? I'm pretty sure that it's been proven that driving SUVs are much more dangerous than normal cars. I'm pretty sure it's also been debated on here a couple times.
  21. To back up what Jim is talking about New allegations of prisoner abuse by U.S. soldiers I doubted that abuse was confined to Abu Ghraib but I guess there's no real proof here yet.
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) It just seems to me that you are always bashing the USA in some form or another. Whether it's our president or our policies or whatever. As a US citizen, I take offense to that and will call you out on it every time. Now, if you want to exchange emails and talk it out, I'd be perfectly willing to do that. maybe we can come to a middle ground or understanding. But .... since I work nights, I'm getting ready to hit the sack, so this exchange will have to take place some other time. I'll honestly keep an open mind and discuss this with you, though. Fair enough? Well I don't take this as serious as you do for obvious reasons but I will probably continue doing my thang and I encourage you to continue calling me out. Just understand my humour is bizarre and unconventional.
  23. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 18, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) I know. But I have to check it in case someone says something intelligent. There have been a few good debates on here. Of course I wasn't involved in any of them.
