Yes he's horrible. The last thing the White Sox need are guys that try to swing for the fences. We already have that in Thomas, Konerko, Lee, and other guys that get homerun happy. We need guys that get on base. Valentin is not a patient hitter, and he strikes out a lot. The guy can't hit a breaking ball, and when he does it's usually a hanger or he just runs into it. I don't want Jose back here next year. Period. CWSOX45 I'm not sure if I'd put Konerko in the category of always swinging for the fences. He just had a really bad year this year.

Well right now I am Curling for Team Bay, which is probably in the top 3 or 4 teams in the province. I've been to the final four of the provincial junior championships 4 years in a row but keep coming up short. When I was younger I won the Mosquito C Provincial Baseball Championships. I used to be a good pitcher. I went 2-0 with 1 save in those provincials. I was 10 years old.

We just have to hope someone gets the #5 with a good ST and runs with the opportunity. And if he struggles in his first couple starts we still got to give whomever a chance to turn it around.

Well we can't do much worse than this year. I believe our 5th starters only won around 5 games. We have some decent options already. Schoenweis Cotts Rauch Wright Does anyone know what is going on with Kolhmeier and Cooper this year, we do have room for one more guy on the 40 man roster as of now?

I wouldn't say Munoz struggled this year. He was bombed early in the year very badly. From then on he was very effective, and with his awesome curveball the little guy could be up with the big club as soon as next year.

Well who we were hoping to be our next longterm shortstop (Andy Gonzalez) had a pretty mediocre, if not bad year at Kannapolis. Any ideas why the low batting average, and if he'll be playing in Kannapolis again next year? I think he might just have been dragged down by the rest of the team's bad hitting. I want him to stay at Kanny because lots of good young hitters will be moving up there next year and I think he might have much more success.

It was reported by Yahoo that Travis Lee is expected back next year in Tampa with an option of 2.5 million. Also commenting on Wunsch. Wunsch won't be going anywhere anytime soon, and I don't understand why he would. Also before we put a lot of faith into guys like Sanders and Munoz I believe we would pickup a free agent lefty like Tom Martin or Steve Kline.

I think you underestimate Konerko's trade value.

You know Abo if he has a hell of a year at Birmingham next year he might get a Cottsesque shot at the major leagues. And with the confidence he has he might even have some success. Then again we've been developping Honel to be an ace in our staff so we might not give him the shot no matter what, not until he is completely ready. Which could be 05, 06.

I understand what you are saying a little now, but I don't think you can call an above average pitcher a bust. He has got lots of time and he really wasn't that inconsistent, you can probably look at his pitching lines for 2003 and I'm sure he together strung many quality starts in a row.

You really think Jon Garland is a bust Cubkilla? He's no world beater yet but he there is no way he's been a bust. How old is he 24?

When a team declines to pick up a player's option does he become an unrestricted free agent, or does a team have to pick him up for what his option was worth? I'm pretty sure he becomes a UFA therefore teh price for J.T. Snow would depend on many things. We don't need to worry about it if we trade Konerko.
