Damaso Marte has not blown one save as the official 9th inning closer. All of his blown saves came before the ninth inning. I'd also have to guess that close to half of the runs he gave up to lose the lead came from inherited runners.
Where as all but one of Koch's blown saves came in the 9th.
Well I think it was to be Marte right now. But it will vary from day to day. One thing I've noticed about Marte is that he can still be effective pitching several days back to back which is something Gordon seems to struggle mightily with.
I don't have links but...
-Appier has officially been signed by the Royals
-Rafael Palmeiro has cleared waivers and now just has to waive his no trade clause to be traded to the Cubs. John Thomson also of the Rangers has cleared waivers, he's maybe a guy the White Sox will consider.

Don't look now but the 24 year old has hit a hot streak. Daylan Holt hit a 2run homerun to win tonight's game for the Hogs.
from warthogs.com
His average is now up around .255. Maybe this means nothing, but it looks like Holt is trying hard to finally make a name for himself.
He played in a Mexican League I believe lol.

Not really sure, he struggled mightily with Detroit last year I believe.
Oh, very true they got the job done tonight, period. But the score was 5-2 with 2 outs Febles on 2nd. Randa grounded out to 3rd and Crede committed the error allowing Febles to score. How was that or the next run earned?
