  1. I completely agree Burke is 31 and is probably very desperate to play good. It's probably one of his last chances at the bigs.
  2. Sorry about getting backtracked but did Shaffer used to play with Anaheim, Rex?
  3. I believe Oregon is one of the most environmentally progressive states if not the most progressive. But that is more important to some than others.
  4. Sox vs. Dbacks 1-11 http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/scores/20030313/chaari -Holt got an at bat today, and Wunsch pitched another scoreless and hitless inning. Sox vs. Rockies 13-6 http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/scores/20030313/chaari -Carlos Maldanado had a homerun for the chisox today and Jamie Burke kept up the hot hitting going 3 for 3 -Offensive Explosion!!!
  5. White Sox are losing 11-1 to the Dbacks in the top of 8. White Sox are winning 10-6 over the Rockies in the top of 9.
  6. It's 6-1 now for the DBACKs after the pitch from David Sanders got away from the catcher Miguel Olivo, and the runner from third scored. Sanders struck someone out for the 3rd out. The game goes to the top of the 7th. Eddie Oropesa I believe is pitching now for the DBACKS.
  7. They're virtually not talking about the game anymore at all because Grace came into the booth and they've been interviewing him for a long time.
  8. He had one game either last season or 2 seasons ago where he had a huge game. That's the only game I can remember though where he had success.
  9. Paul is making up for his wild throw that somehow got over Frank's head.
  10. Who's pitching now it can't be Heredia anymore. -Matt Williams was struck out for the first out ( i think) -Then Cintron got on base with another single.
  11. Why does Piazza care so much. He makes millions and the game was over. Sure he probably did beam him on purpose. Big woop, Piazza will always be a bigger star than Mota and he should be confident with that, and not have to try to fight him after the bloody game.
  12. Josh Paul just hit a solo homerun off of oldtimer Doug Henry to narrow the gap to 5-1.
  13. That's what it sounded like but I believe they were talking about needing to have Valentin's bat in the lineup.
  14. In the other game this afternoon the White Sox are tied with Colorado 4-4 in the top of the 5th. The only information I could find was that Larry Walker hit a homerun of Jon Rauch in the 3rd inning.
  15. These are better mlb.com announcers than I've heard in a while actually. WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT BASEBALL!!!
  16. mine is working fine. what connection you got? or try the different channel I have a crappy dialup but it's working great now.
  17. Another lead off walk for Heredia to Matt Williams. What a guy.
  18. Dessens is dominating us agaaaiiiiiiiiin. Geeze lol. He's looking pretty good.
  19. Hey Clujer is your radio for the game really choppy? Because mine sure is.
  20. Ahh, if I had just read the Soxnet report I would have found out that Loaiza and Rauch are also scheduled to pitch.
  21. I know that in the game against Arizona today it will be Gil Heredia versus Elmer Dessens. This is I believe the 3rd time we'll be facing Dessens. In the other game against Colorado all I know is that we are facing Scott Elarton. Anyone know who else is pitching today?
  22. Yah I saw Piazza's face he was truly livid.
  23. I was looking for a site with stats from minor league spring training but I couldn't find anything. Is minor league spring training basically the same thing as MLB spring training?
  24. There's not a huge point in doing updates for regular season games because there are numerous sites that have game updates and gamecasts. But if you like doing them and people will still look at them why the hell not.
  25. -Joe Valentine is 0-0 with an era of 6.00 in 3 innnings pitched he also has a save. He's only given up 3 hits but he has walked 4 while striking out 2. -Mark Johnson is not doing well so far going 2 for 17. -Foulke was doing good before todays game, he had an era of 1.50 striking out 8 and only walking 2. Although it was a different story giving up homeruns to Joe Crede and Carlos Lee. These stats are from MLB.com and are as of yesterday's games.
