  1. Maybe he talked about it on more than one occassion but before the game started I could have sworn Morgan said "one" of the best bullpens.
  2. QUOTE (G&T @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) btw for any out of market people who haven't figured it out yet, the Yankees and Mets are delayed so the Sox are on. Oooh, thanks for the tip.
  3. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 05:13 PM) What ^ he said. He's been walking everyone lately. He's bounced back. Hasn't walked any in his last two outings.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 04:39 PM) Is Theriot injured? Bruised hand.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 04:20 PM) Nope, he just nibbles so much and his stuff is overrated. I don't think so. He's got great stuff, just has to get his head right.
  6. QUOTE (FranktheTank35 @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) Man, what has happened to our old ace? Javy looks horrible. He seems to have lost almost everything that made him dominating the first two months. Rough patch, he'll be back.
  7. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 18, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) Technically, no, Molson and Coors merged to form Molson Coors in 2005, but Molson was not bought up by Coors. The Molson family still has 50% ownership of the company's controlling trust. That's all about to be turned on its ear as well though, with the approval early this month of a joint venture with SABMIller to form MillerCoors to handle all American production and sales and to compete with A-B. Honestly, you need a scorecard to keep track of all the megabrew megamergers. Oh okay. I remember it being sort of controversial up here because Molson's big seller was Molson Canadian. And they used to have these famous Canadian nationalist commercials and I believe their slogan is still "I am Canadian". And here they were merging with Coors, a Republican company at that. "I Am Canadian"
  8. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 18, 2008 -> 09:57 AM) We should get a free case of Molson with every barrel of oil from Canada. These cases of Molson will than be sent out to the people of America. Much like the rebate checks. Molson is actually owned by Coors now.
  9. Maybe things won't turn out so bad. http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8...1811795,00.html

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 18, 2008 -> 05:54 PM) Sorry but, outside of the Sixth Sense, his movies are crap. Even Unbreakable and Signs suck. See, for some reason I loved Signs when I saw it in theatres on opening weekend. Didn't like The Happening anywhere near as much, but I still enjoyed it.

I guess I'm a little nuts but I always enjoy M.Night films and The Happening wasn't any different.
  12. And since the U.S. economy is completely going in the tank and Canada almost totally depends on the American economy this won't mean dick for Canada anyway.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) Loaiza ... my god. This is a comedy. I live for this s***.
  14. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 10:13 PM) We almost caught up with the hits.. got 10 now. Is that how they break the tie after 25 innings?
  15. Dotel's thrown 20 pitches, shouldn't be too much to ask for him to try and go one more. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.
  16. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) Anderson used to pitch in college, so you could go there if we go beyond the 14th. Clearly it will be Buehrle.
  17. Wow Paulie, less that 10 hits in every 50 at-bats, that's some weak sauce.
  18. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 08:45 PM) i thought her speech was exactly what she needed to do. she'll concede w/in the next few days, but with the speech, keep your supporters feeling good because they're already depressed, might as well let them have one more heartfelt cheer. she wasn't defiant like pundits claimed, she'll do whats best for the party and that's what she said. I agree. She may have not done herself any big favors tonight, but the pundits got a little too excited.
  19. A competent American President should have been able to spin this guy into the ground long ago. Mahmoud's an embarrassment.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 10:35 AM) And turn into Joe Liberman? Not gonna happen. After screwing her party for so long, she has to fall in line or she has no support from the Dems in '12. She knows that. She has already turned into a pariah in her party, if she didn't have the decency to support her parties nominee, she is done. Yah, I think you're right. Obama controls a massive part of the infrastructure within the party now and Hillary will have to do everything she can to help him win. Probably an easier task for her if she's the VP candidate. Once her candidacy has officially closed she has to endorse him. If there's any sense that she's trying to scuttle Obama's chances in '08 she'll have no chance of getting the nomination later. And I wouldn't rule out Obama running again in 2012 if he loses in 2008. He's got such a huge infrastructure now, and one in pretty much every state. But predicting the future is hard. Easier for Obama to just go out and win now.
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 2, 2008 -> 02:24 PM) Probably because she made a "unscheduled" stop to Mount Rushmore. Obama made a surprise trip there too. Clinton just got back from Puerto Rico, so I hardly believe she's spent much more time than Obama has in Montana and South Dakota. If South Dakota goes for Clinton I may have to rethink my travel plans there this summer.
  22. QUOTE (mr_genius @ May 26, 2008 -> 05:56 PM) It was so horrible that the election was stolen in 2000. Now we have Hillary getting the 2008 primary stolen form her. For shame United States, for shame. And the right wing corporate media is in on the whole thing; just look at this horrible article. http://www.nytimes.com/2001/11/12/politics...8eb&ei=5070 For the record there is nothing in that article that shows that Bush really won the election. It only concludes that the decision the Justices made was not the deciding factor, but that the methods used by the Democratic lawyers cost Gore a chance of winning.
  23. Seems like a great trade to me. Javier Vazquez is now one of the best starters in the American league, and it's probably safe to assume Young's stats would be slightly worse in the American league.
  24. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 21, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) I would love to hear your ideas on how to stop multiculturism and save America. I prefer monoculturalism.
