Yah I agree, but what he was actually getting slammed for wasn't damning.

Not that the swiftboats on John Kerry were particularly damning and it seemed to serve its purpose, but this video didn't seem all that bad for Rudy. I know he wasn't a perfect mayor but with all the events surrounding 9/11, those three screwups probably aren't representative of Rudy's true role in the security preparations and aftermath.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 12, 2007 -> 11:06 PM) yeah, they werent trying to hide the bodies, they were dropping them into the deepest crevice in the ocean because they figured the pressure and the temperature would not allow those transformers to be able to come back up. I'm pretty sure they referred to it as hiding the evidence, and then Optimus Prime was talking about living among the humans without them knowing it.

QUOTE(shipps @ Jul 11, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) I feel kind juvenile admitting this but Transformers was awesome. The effects really got me which normally I could care less about. And there was some really funny moments to go along with it,just a great summer flick. I don't know about it being "great" but I sort of feel the same way. SPOILER Didn't anyone else just laugh after they supposedly hid the evidence of the Transformers ever existing. It's like duh, thousands of people just saw them destroy half a city.

Breach was damn good. Chris Cooper was amazing in it.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 06:23 PM) But...but...it's ALWAYS different. Clinton got a blowjob The Democrats voted for the war in Iraq too! Yes, because the history books are going to talk about the war belonging to congressional Democrats too...

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 09:25 AM) I'm reading it all over the place this morning in the MSM bits about it. Bulls***... read the quotes from Schmucky and Little Dick. I'm not saying YOU personally, but I'm saying the Democrat Party in general. It's those guys jobs to lie and be outraged, get over it.

QUOTE(rowandrules83 @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 12:14 PM) It'd be interesting if the film won the Oscar for best picture, for the reason that it would lead to the words "Academy Award winner Elton Brand" (He produced the film). How'd Elton Brand get involved in the movie business?

And the rest of the world laughs just a little bit louder tonight.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 30, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) I don't mean Citizen Kane. I'm talking about A 15 year old giving a high rating for something like, "She's All That" or "Not Another Teen Movie." And low marks for something like "Memento" or other good movies. You're obviously not going to agree on all the ratings but the imdb ones are the best. I'm pretty sure they keep a secret formula in actually determing the rating they get. I doubt 15 year olds giving She's All That 10/10 even registers on the movie's rating.

I've got to disagree. I liked the episode again last night. Absolutely loved the scene outside the hospital with the drug dealer guy and his goofy henchman set to Con Te Partiro. Then again, anything set to that song rules. I do feel that this thing could get Lost-like with all the mysteries, and if that keeps up I might get disinterested like I did with Lost. But I'll definitely be watching again this Sunday.

QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 10:59 PM) Oh, no doubt. She's definitely a "cougar"... Oh wow, brings back memories... I've actually watched a few episodes of Power Rangers on alluc.org in the last couple weeks. Good stuff. I hated Power Rangers when I was a kid. The bad guys would always be kicking ass until they decided to become super-big which gave the power rangers the excuse to became super-big. And once the power rangers combined into that giant robot thingy they were pretty much indestructible. Stupid bad guys.

Watched The Bridge last night. I went out and rented, *cough torrent *cough spy, and thought it was pretty depressing. But I didn't really get much of a message out of it, and I didn't think it was particularly thought provoking.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 07:45 AM) So what? IE, they beat the Russians this way and they know that they will beat the Americans this way too. It's just a matter of time.
-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 05:50 PM) Well, we obviously WAY disagree... our very way of life, should the global "islamo-facists" take note of our "defeat", will have to change because they know that they can alter the way we do things by chipping away at our army. On that point, this is definitely America's war. They already knew they could do that with the Russians.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 12:31 AM) I don't know, but when I was just flipping by, I think I saw Elisha Cuthbert. Is it her? If so, I might have to watch more of it no

I liked tonight's episode. Seemed to have a better flow than last week's. Although last week I might still have been too flabbergasted by the Sopranos ending to pay full attention. I'm still a little weirded out by the loto winner and the hotel. I don't know what's going on there and that guys rambling.

Yah I totally agree with Sepinwall on the Baccala quote. I'm amazed the amount of times I've seen the media misquote what he actually said.
-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) I understand, I really do. But I think history (if the politicians would get their collective heads out of their asses and finish things the right way) would vindicate Bush on Iraq. Based on what we "knew", it was the right thing to do, WMD's or not. And Gore would never say he changes his mind on Hussein, he'd pull a Hillary. That's the problem with these (village) idiots. No it was always a dumb idea.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT!!! IT'S DIFFERENT! Once a hypocritical d'bag, always a hypocritical d'bag. Well didn't Clinton and him bomb the s*** out of Iraq?
