  1. There sure were some good choices for President last time round...
  2. Maybe I should have used my head and actually examined the details of this story before posting. I apologize, the thread should not be titled as it is.
  3. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Oct 28, 2006 -> 02:26 PM) Toquoteoneofour liberal posters, First they came for women, then gays, who is next? Next it will be ok to kill Canadians because they gave the world Celine Dion. Then the Amish because compared to Muslim women, those Amish babes are real whores. Where will it end? Huh?
  4. What do you want us to do about it monkey? Are we just supposed to start disliking muslims or what?

  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) It doesn't matter who wins, the other side will yell "CONSPIRACY!!!!!" no matter how clean the voting might be. One thing that would really be amusing about the GOP holding on to both houses ( I know its unlikely ) would be to hear the shrill cries of leftist bloggers crying bloody murder and saying we "stole" the election. I don't think it's that unlikely. And as it is now I can't see the Democrats winning the Senate.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 23, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) Really? Besides, this is just obfuscating the point. Whether its 20k or 40k, I wasn't really talking about gun violence. I am talking about your willingness to write off an entire nation, religion, creed or any other category because of the actions of some members of those categories. If you really believe in personal responsbility as you claim, then how about judging people on THEIR actions, and not that of their neighbors. It's really simple northside, people of Nuke's leaning yearn for confrontation wherever they can find it.
  10. At least the Republicans are going down with dignity. http://www.redstate.com/stories/war/the_stakes
  11. This movie's been on my must-see list for quite some time now. Hope it will be good. These CGI movies seem to be pretty hit or miss.
  12. Ugh, last thursday it hit, and I'm still not quite right.
  13. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Oct 18, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) The biggest, and most important difference here is that the solders are IN JAIL, and will be TRIED FOR THEIR CRIMES. While are you hell-bent on equating terrorists with anything resembling normal society? Our solders do this despicable act, the rest of us are horrified and embarrassed. Muslims do this same crap, they either cheer or just turn the other cheek and ignore that it even happened. The good ones don't.
  14. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 16, 2006 -> 11:30 PM) John Kerry should be arrested and imprisoned for that remark. Freedom of Speech doesn't extend to threatening the President of the United States, I dont give a damn who you are. Sheehan also. Let the bastards be cell mates together.
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) And that right there is the crux, and what makes me sad when I think of the monstrous mistake we made in Iraq. The realities are that it will take 10 years, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives, tens of thousands of American and British soldiers' lives, and trillions upon trillions of dollars to build a stable Iraq. And this was all done because the hawks in the current Administration decided it was worth that toll to set up that anchorhead. There is just one problem - the American public has caught on to the fact that they were sold a false bill of goods (saying this was about terrorists or 9/11 or WMD or Saddam, or that it would be no long term commitment). And their reaction is becoming more and more that they do not have the will to put in that price for what it turned out to be. So what happens when the public overwhelmingly says, its time to go? Even though all indications are that leaving will create a power vacuum and leave the region much worse off than before this all started? There is no happy ending to this. You forgot that the Taliban in Afghanistan is slowly coming back while the US is not paying attention.
  16. Iraq is absolute mayhem now. 2222 Civilians killed in August and in September 2660 were killed. http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...epath=News/News They're totally screwed.

  19. QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) 1. Clinton is an ex-president with just as much exposure, hence the reaction he got... 2. So? It was still a valid question and it was still a gross overreaction. So they used a poor word as a headline, what's the big deal? And are you kidding me? Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper and Lou Dobbs bash Bush DAILY. The rest I don't watch, and PBS doesn't count as they are supposed to be neutral by law. I'm not arguing Fox doesn't lean to the right or even that Fox doesn't have an agenda (to put down liberal views). Anyone with a brain can see that. However you're full of sh*t if you don't think CNN is the exact same way for the left. In college as my senior seminar for my political science degree I really wanted to analyze both FOX and CNN treatment of news stories over a one month period. I ended up not doing it because it would have been too difficult to measure the difference (what is 'negative' connotation, what is 'positive' etc). However I did try for a week and it was amazing how each website (the base of my attempt at the study) had such differing headlines for the same story. So now not only was Clinton overreacting but having a GROSS overeaction? lol
  20. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060927/ap_en_...v_fox_clinton_1 lol, who was it saying that Fox News is a legitimate source of news.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) I guess this has sort of been mentioned, but why aren't more people taking Clinton to task for pushing blame off on someone else? Anytime this has been done by repubs in the last 6 years, I have never heard the end of it, yet Bill Clinton does it, and the focus is actually on what he said, instead of his debate techniques... Why is that? Maybe because he himself admits failure?
