QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 8, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) Saw Superman a few days ago and was highly disappointed. Just bland, nothing too exciting. Not too mention some dude was in the row in front of me and had his phone on and it rang 3 seperate times and of course the dips*** answers and talks. Wanted to wrap a steel chair around his head. Try watching it with kids getting wasted one row ahead of you. Cursing, smell of liquour, spilling of liquor, standing and sitting etc.

but back in the real world... Landmark al Qaeda trial collapses http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/07/08/...s.ap/index.html Jihad against occupiers is legal. Can we add Yemen to the Outposts of Tyranny now?

Obrador is from the coalition PRD Party not PRI.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 8, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) Ok so we have the mainstream media versus an "alternative news" website which quotes the infamous "unnamed sources" within the CIA. I think you can tell which way the scales of who I believe are tipping. I'll admit that some website getting CIA sources is pretty amazing and/or suspicious but these cases are constantly overblown. A bunch of idiots in Miama get arrested for being... idiots, and its plastered all over the news. Or in Canada recently, headlines about plans to behead the Prime Minister and take the House of Commons hostage. A few days later it turns out the bozos didn't know enough about the area and gave up on that plan early on. The timing is always curious but this is probably more of a, provocative terrorism headlines sell idea.

Check a couple threads down. full story http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/No_Plot_..._Hate_0707.html Anyone notice that it seems that more and more intelligence officials are turning on the administration? ohh I should have added this... http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/No_Plot_..._Hate_0707.html

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 09:43 AM) Let me throw this in the mix. NK doesn't take a s*** without China's blessing. Think about it. NK is a China puppet state. Period. /carry on My impression was that China wanted North Korea to survive so it would be one more distraction to keep the Americans from paying attention to Taiwan.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) multiply that by atleast 10 when the communist government totally ruins an already weak economy. Communist government? What the hell are you talking about?

Japanese Report: N. Korea missile aimed at area off Hawaii http://asia.news.yahoo.com/060707/3/2mty8.html the plot thickens...

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) I have not seen one single news report that is showing the actual vote counts, only %'s. Now why is that? I was wondering the same thing last night. I'm not sure the group doing the counting has actually released the numbers.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 01:59 AM) oh, i'm sure they've found a way i really don't care if they elect an anti-american government. it'll just give us more reason to close off the border. I'm not so sure that Obrador is actually anti-american. After reading his wikipedia page he seems like your average center-left politician in a global context. And perhaps I'm mistaken but I've never heard him say anything in the Chavez or Morales vein. That being said from my bad math projections I think Calderon is going to win by about 0.24% (make that 0.30% after the last update). That is, if the final votes come in the way they have been for the last hour. http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/noticias.html

Looks like I may have called it too soon. It's going to be insanley tight. PRD 36.05% NAP 35.17% 93.10% reporting
-
QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 06:12 PM) less weird and more like a corrupt recount Well it seems to me that the preliminary totals were off if anything. But I'm not going to claim that I really have any idea what's going on down south.
-
looks like the left has it PRD 36.85% NAP 34.57% 73.58% reporting
-
QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) Weird. It's an exact reversal it seems. It seems like a lot of votes were missing from the preliminary totals and I seem to remember that the votes being reported never did reach 100%.

Explanation of the names of Burma/Myanmar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explanation_o...f_Burma/Myanmar
-
PRD 36.81% NAP 34.64% 69.01% still narrowing but probably not fast enough for the Fox successor
-
QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 05:04 PM) Myannmar is the original name of the island I think. Burma is the colonial name. But Myanmar's not an island... You're probably right though.
-
PRD 36.98% NAP 34.56% 63.34% reporting http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/noticias.html narrowing... PRD 36.91% NAP 34.6% 65.68% reporting
-
QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Isn't it myanmar now? I think they're pretty much used interchangeably now. I believe it was the military dictator who changed the name to Myanmar so that might have not been the will of the people. But I really don't know. Kramer and Jerry are probably still trying to figure that one out.
-
Calderon also has offered Obrador a position in cabinet. Which is probably a pre-emptive attempt to look willing to compromise knowing that Obrador won't accept. Obrador still winning PRD 37.11% NAP 34.52% 62.6% reporting I don't know what's going on.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 07:21 AM) Yeah not good, not good at all. Let's just say the Aussies weren't too happy with the situation at all, and let the North Korean Diplomat to Australia know all about it. I read in The Australian that Burma has also been forging an alliance with North Korea. What a mess. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...419-601,00.html
