Unsurprisingly O'Reilly has beaten leftists to the punch on sounding like a complete moron about the riots. Calling it Karma for not pressuring Saddam and underming the US War effort, also saying that Hurricane Katrina is like a 'comic-book' compared to the riorts. Then mentions how, that's why we're boycotting France. sigh...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napalm WHite Phosphorus itself I don't believe is Napalm and Napalm is banned for use on civilians. I also believe MK-77 is a form of napalm, but I've seen varied ideas as to if its actually banned or not.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) Liberals are defenitely tolerant of a wide array of viewpoints, just so long as you dont dare to hold one that is divergent from their own. Go to conservativelife.com and try espousing a liberal point of view, you're a communist, anti-American and unpatriotic. Both radical elements of both sides do it.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) Saw 2 opened up with 12 million and number one at the box office. Now it earned 17+ million and takes the number 3 spot. Weird... It earned 32 million opening weekend. It's another huge success from a financial standpoint, expect a number of further sequels.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) i thought the dead bodys near the bus a pretty strong anti war message. Well 'the highway of death' was a reality of the War. I mean this wasn't painting anybody really in a positive light but from a novice's eyes it seemed like a pretty fair picture of Desert Storm. Then again as I mentioned, I wasn't there and I'm not a Marine.

QUOTE(dasox24 @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) So did I. Speaking of Jarhead, what did you or anyone else who's seen it think? I thought it was great. I really enjoyed it. However, I think some of my friends I saw it with were disappointed b/c there wasn't as much fighting as they thought. Anyone else feel like that? I liked how it looked into the marines' lives, rather than only showing fighting like other war movies. I haven't really shared my opinion on it but here I go. Two facts before going into the movie: 1) I'm not or never will be a marine 2) I never read the book Going into the movie I thought it was going to be in the anti-War vein of Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now. Now, Jarhead certainly was similar in many ways to both movies but it really wasn't anti-War, and I don't think like many critics that it's merely a satisfactory War movie because of this. It's a tale of impatient people trying to wait patiently to do something important in their lives but the chance obviously never really comes. Many of the movie's clichés got to me, like the awkward end narration saying how we're still in the desert, yah, no s***. This attempt to be poignant kind of just annoyed me but I'm not sure how other people feel about it, so maybe it did work. The acting was 100%, top-notch quality, lol, all the lead actors were great and Chris Cooper, Lucas Black and Dennis Haysbert were all pleasant surprises. In the end I think this is a solid movie but certainly won't be any kind of War classic that will still be obsessed over 30 years from now. For a director like Sam Mendes I guess it's a small disapointment. I worried so much about how this movie would stand up to such a different movie like his Road to Perdition, but this was a goofy idea. 8/10 Full Metal Jacket > Jarhead > Tears of the Sun

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) They could start by gathering something more concrete than accusations. As I said before, they are the only proven theives between the 2 of them and accusations backed up by nothing lead me to call bulls***. Details will probably become clear when the audit is actually finished. The monitoring board also suggests that other contractors should be reimbursed only when the audits are actually finished. If the rest of the members of the board are like this then the "UN is corrupt judging the corrupt" argument doesn't fly. Yah, forget the UN is corrupt too argument.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 03:32 AM) Educational is more like it. Also, its ok for your side to point out our shortcomings but when we do it we're "divisive". Any book or movie or anything that paints the other side as the real problem is divise. Michael Moore, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Bernie Goldberg and even Al Franken do it.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) Saw it last night and IMHO is the best movie I have seen this year so far. Great acting from all involved. Peter Sarsgard deserves an academy award. It was both funny and very powerful. I was thinking to myself while watching that Foxx very well could get a supporting actor nod. But I'm not sure critics like this one enough for that to happen.

"The reality is that conservatives like to preach in moral platitudes. They like to condemn ordinary Americans and Liberals for a whole host of things - lack of patriotism, lack of action to protect Americans from terrorists, abuse of family values, and greed. But when it comes to applying those same standards to themselves, conservatives are found to be shockingly guilty of hypocrisy." I hope this book is funny because books that divide are a dime a dozen

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 4, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) The guy in the basement wasn't supposed to grab the second antidote, only the one for himself. Also, he wasn't willing to reach through the fire to the knob which shut off the trap. Good point. Maybe my bud at the theatre is just dumb but he interpreted that the valve inside the oven would increase the gas and kill him more painlessly, doubt it though.
