http://www.newsmeat.com/washington_politic...rriet_Miers.php She hasn't donated to the Democrats since 1988 I think, it's been all red since then.

You know you're a wing nut when you say Why if the newspaper wanted to make the photo seem like such a glorious protest did they include the "terrorist-style" bandana and use a picture of a person who looks as though he/she could be a militant. No one sees that picture and thinks, oh mainstream teenagers of color are against the War. I think this post has me sold though, the media is so bloody liberal.

I'm a little surprised Into the Blue did so little box, seemed to me that they had a huge advertising campaign. I may be wrong but it actually seems like movie goers are actually making better choices of which movies they go to.

Kanye West wrong. Bush doesn't hate black people.
KipWellsFan replied to Rex Kickass's topic in SLaM
I loved John Gibson's explanation of this whole situation. Liberals are just mad about the Benett comment because it's going to make black people think about how abortion has stopped 10 million black children from being born therefore they would think abortion is a bad deal for them because it has reduced their power. :banghead -

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) Well, it isn't exactly the most healthy thing to do for your body to begin with... Why is smoking legal?
-
QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Yeah, but no one is forced to do anything in that scenario, really. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke, but I just think that smokers are kind of being piled on right now. Need a new tax? Tax cigarettes. But then make them stand outside and smoke, as if they were dogs taking a s***. I dunno.... I think above all governments involved in these bans care about the health of their citizens and maybe more the health costs of smoking. Kap and you do make really good points though.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) That was a great quote. However, if you consider the San Diego Padres, it isn't necessarily true. I do love when Hawk gets a little sassy. I thought Hawk said if you win 96 games you're good damnit, not the division.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) I'm not a smoker, but I don't think bars should be smoke-free. Restaurants I can understand, but if you're in a bar putting OTHER harmful elements into your system, then what makes smoke worse than alcohol? If an individual bar owner wants to make the decision to be a smoke-free environment, that's his or her choice ( and his or her risk of alienating patrons ). Yes but when you take a drink not everyone else is forced to do so.

I was lucky by the time I had turned 18 they had already banned it.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 08:33 AM) I made the picture with Duque, Cooper, and Contreras my background. Ha, I can't wipe the smile off of my face when I look at Contreras on the right. He looks like such a badass in that picture, and he's going to be a key part of our success (or lack thereof, but shhh on that part) in the postseason. Eaxct same here, Contreras looks like a pimp!

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 06:21 AM) That is just wrong after all of the misreporting and out right lies that got reported as facts during Katrina, and the lack of verification that was put into them. I'd still bet that if you asked a layperson how many people died in the Superdome, they wouldn't tell you anything like 6 or 10. They would probably list something in the hundreds or thousands that they heard while everything was happening. Much of those rapes, murders, and lawlessness have also had issues when trying to be verified. It was also the media who was telling people in NO that things were going to be nearly as bad as they thought, directly contradicting the politicians who were telling them to leave town at the critical hours of evactuation. The media failed BIG TIME in Katrina. They were too worried about ratings, and not nearly worried enough about the facts. To be fair I think this poll was taken before it turned out that much of the reports about the Super Dome were outrageously wrong.

Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter refuse to believe that Pat Tillman wasn't a Bush or Iraq War supporter. http://movies.crooksandliars.com/Hannity-C...ter-Tillman.mov
