13.) If you actually believe all of the above listed, it is not George Bush's fault you are a dunce.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) If you choose not to believe the recent findings strongly suggesting that man is a super-species in comparison to the rest of nature then make an argument against both the observation & calculation that supports that claim. If you can not then you would be best to stay out of it. Ants could kick our ass. In all seriousness though I think santo=dorf is missing the point as Juggs isn't saying God made us or the bible is fact. But it's probably hard for many to even consider the idea of 'intelligent design' when they see on CNN a pastor who I guess is supposed to represent those who believe in intelligent design say that the earth is only 10000 years old.

Okay, so the universe is supposed to be expanding constantly at the speed of light right? But the odds of a single cell evolving into what we've become on only one planet in what may be an infinite universe is an unreasonable thought? I think teachers should always mention and explain the belief in creationism but stick with what seems like the majority of scientists around the world believe. But then I really think about it, how the hell is some young kid at the age kids are taught about evolution supposed to understand any of this in the first place. Hell I'm pretty sure I don't have half of the knowledge to really form a sound opinion on this.

QUOTE(56789 @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) It was his responsibility to land Air Force One in new orleans, get everyone aboard and take off right as the storm hit. That's what Chrisopther Walken would have done.

I watched The Cooler tonight starring Alec Baldwin, William H. Macy and Maria Bello. It was really great, and the performances from Baldwin as a badass and Macy as a hardluck loser in love were amazing. Anyone who's a fan of Casino or Owning Mahowny must see this right now! It's also got a very original script and interesting takes on characters we've seen before.

Being a complete novice about the US Supreme court, does that mean another person will have to be nominated for a supreme court spot and will one of the current members be bumped up to the chief position?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) link. Reported by the AP, confirmed by the Times Picayune. Yes, that's right...helicopter rescue efforts STOPPED while Bush was in town. You read that right. God, don't you wish there could have been just 1 more helicopter flight to the Convention Center? Sheesh, and people think the States have a liberal media. p.s. the link doesn't work here's a little thing I put on my blog http://thedanreport.blogspot.com/

QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) Blame Terry Ebbert, head of NO Emergency Operations. I believe there WAS an evacuation ordered. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/0...flpc21109012015 Here is a link that shows about 200 school buses that COULD have been used to get the poor people out of town. The mayor odered everyone to evacuate, then didn't help them do so. SOunds alot like an unfunded mandate. Yet AFTER the hurricane, you have the mayor pleading for people to send busses. Well MR. Mayor, you just let 200 busses get flooded because your Emergency Response person, that you personally appointed, f***ed up. I am sure that NO also had public transportation system, which included BUSES. Why were they not used to ferry out the poor? Again, because LOCAL people in charge screwed up. These people should have been out of town before the hurricane hit. http://www.drudgereport.com/

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 05:24 AM) You make it sound soooooo easy APU. You make it seem like George Bush could just snap his fingers and make all the pain go away. You make it seem like its George Bush's fault that the levies all failed. You also make me sick to my stomach. Instead of going to these leftist conspiracy sites, the authors of which are even more blind in their hatred for the President than you are, how about you look at the mainstream media and talk about what they have to say........ Regarding Mayor Nagin's comments........from CNN.COM Again from CNN.com regarding the arrival of troops in the area. Instead of taking unwarranted shots at the President, charging racism, speculating as to whether rich people would have gotten help faster and a host of other rediculous invective how about you and your leftist cohorts go to this website........ http://www.redcross.org ...........open up your wallet and do something meaningful with your resources and time as I have done. Comments about the military waiting for a good photo opportunity before rolling in with food and supplies for dying people are utterly insane and you f***ing know it. Comments that our government doesn't care about certain racial or ethnic groups are insane. PERIOD! You want Americans to be ashamed of someone's "s***-tastic" response to this tragedy!? I have something for them to be ashamed of and its not what the government and military are doing to help those people down there. Americans should be ashamed of people like YOU. Americans should be ashamed of the race-baiters, the leftist demogauges, the supposed black "leaders" like Jesse Jackson and anyone else who would use this disaster as another excuse to bash the government and the President. This is a time when we should be focused on coming together to help people in need. Casting blame, monday morning quarterbacking the relief efforts, race baiting, and all the other nonsense the radical left is engaged in here helps nobody. :rolly You should be ashamed of yourself LCR

QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) Kanye West just said that President Bush doesn't care about black people on NBC's fundraiser. I think we are going to see a lot of comments along those lines in the next few days whether they are warranted or not. Saying Bush doesn't care about black people is completely ridiculous but I think it's also ridiculous to think the situation wouldn't have been different had the majority of the NO population been Natalee Holloways.

Trent Lott just said that the only ones asking if the Iraq War is creating shortages in available national guard troops is the news media. What a clown!

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) What the hell is wrong with him...??? "Still, Bush told ABC-TV: “I’m not expecting much from foreign nations because we hadn’t asked for it. I do expect a lot of sympathy and perhaps some will send cash dollars. But this country’s going to rise up and take care of it.” “You know,” he said, “we would love help, but we’re going to take care of our own business as well, and there’s no doubt in my mind we’ll succeed. And there’s no doubt in my mind, as I sit here talking to you, that New Orleans is going to rise up again as a great city.” Comments like this could end up being some of his biggest mistakes yet and that's saying something.
