  1. Agree, I'd rather keep Mazara.
  2. I'll give you Foster and Fry. Even Bummer to a certain extent, but they started with something far above nothing with Heuer.
  3. Lol, the irony of her calling someone else delusional. Only role I would want him to fill with the White Sox now would be to eat innings in games we are behind 3 or 4 runs. I don't think his wife or he is in any position to tell any team that is willing to give him ANY opportunity whether he is "happy" with how they intend to use him.
  4. Absolutely. That said the only one I know for sure who would push Kuechel down a notch would be Bauer and seems pretty unlikely that happens. As mentioned, signing Q would be vintage White Sox and this would not move Kuechel down a spot. I would put the chances for Bauer at about 10%. Only reason I am not saying 0% is because Bauer has mentioned he is willing to sign a short term deal. JR will never approve a long term deal for a pitcher, but I would imagine the $$$ is way too much than what JR will pay also.
  5. yes, no doubt short-term. Many of these guys come back and are able to throw just as hard.
  6. I hope so, this was a weird season for all involved. Hopefully he can work at it in the offseason and a full spring training will help him.
  7. yes, the reporter wrote "That injury left the White Sox with significant concerns for the long-term future of a prized pitching prospect"...Long-term future? Of course TJ would be bad news, but nowadays coming back from that surgery 100% healthy is almost certain. Wouldn't exactly consider one season away for a 21 year old pitcher having a major impact on his long-term future.
  8. Agree completely. Will see how serious they are about winning. Bauer vaults us to one of the favorites in AL. Depending on what the organization knows about Kopech would dictate whether another pitcher needs to be signed. I think the absence of a minor league season really hurt Dunning. I still think he could develop as a decent starting pitcher. Idk what to think about Cease except I am really disappointed. Feels like it's going to be Lopez all over again. Will give him opportunity after opportunity until it's clear he is never going to get there.
  9. No kidding, WTH is he talking about treating him like a rented mule. If pitching 6 2/3 over a couple of weeks is overworking him then don't draft him to begin with.
  10. That's true lol, unfortunately nothing will make me feel better right now. I hate losing and who knows for sure until they will play again. Just have this feeling the next season won't start on time.
  11. If I could bet on it I would bet we don't win 90% of our games against the Tigers/Royals next season either. Better get a lot better against Cleveland.
  12. Lopez shouldn't throw another pitch for the White Sox organization. Clear messages should be sent what the expectations are for Cease/Kopech. Still need to go get at least one real MLB starting pitcher.(and I don't mean someone like Gio Gonzalez)
  13. That's one of many changes that need to take place to even get back in the playoffs next season.
  14. Yes, the deciding runs came with an umpire assist.
  15. Grandal was up before Abreu. Anyways it didn't matter he sent him on the 3-2 pitch. I would have been OK with McCann up with bases loaded and 1 out.
  16. I am not sure they are going to walk Abreu in the 1st inning. Eloy was up after Abreu.
  17. Not what I meant. Just needed to be aggressive and try to gamble some to try to get extra runs on the board. Frankly, I didn't expect them to win today because we had NO good options to start the game. Leaving tons of runners on base is frustrating but it happens. That's why I want to steal, bunt whatever to try to manufacture some additional runs.
  18. Well better season than what we had more recently. Obviously this shows we have a long way to go to get to championship level. Maybe will get some real pitchers in the offseason. At least we can keep talking about prospects and how great we are going to be someday.
  19. that's the point, everyone expected the pitching to be this way. you need to be aggressive and score any way you can.
  20. Surprised that lucky prick LaStella didn't come up with that one.
  21. For sure TA in the first and then he scores on Abreu's double. I also would have gambled and had Madrigal try to steal in the 2nd and he then scores on TA's double. Fiers was taking 5 minutes to deliver a pitch. Knowing how our pitching was going to be you needed to gamble.
