  1. 3. Weird approach to hitting, 4. In a funk, has me worried, 5. Needs pine time or a trip to Charlotte.
  2. Just thinking here, how many OF's on the team get that ball? Hamilton and Engel anyway. Garcia maybe. This Eaton no, his former self yes. Lamb ? Mendick? Assume Goodwin or not?
  3. Heuer throws great stuff, has control of it and gets hit. Something there ain't right.
  4. I was thinking about Ruiz too. Hendriks issue was starting Cameron off with a fat pitch. He can be too courageous for his own good.
  5. Scored the winning run and made the defensive gem to end it. (but that was positioning) Two-Way Danny.
  6. And how is he better than what's already here? Nick is a replacement level player, amiright? ?
  7. Gets you to the postseason and then... Call it butting heads... Takes two to tango ... Or butt heads.
  8. He gets a hit in G 2 or 3 of the playoffs last season and Ricky is still here and the world is young. Or something like that. And he's a great RBI man except when he isn't.
  9. Still, doesn't look overmatched, hits a ball hard now and then. He'll do to keep the seat warm.
  10. It's all on Craig and Baez is gonna get a street named after him in Lincoln Park because of it. Maybe the Park too. Why did the damn fool throw it home?
  11. I listened to Stone on the replay and he said that Liam lost control of the slider on balls 2 and 3 and didn't go back to it for that reason. Last night I was "listening" with the sound off.
  12. After making Jose look sick on low stuff out of the zone the last AB, throws him a high slider that wound up flirting with the concourse. Duh. Speaking of a slider, Hendriks could have used one that last AB as Edman fouled off a ton of 4 seamers.
  13. What's the old cliche? Flaherty will get you nowhere. Yeah, that's it. Gotta start sorting out the bullpen, bringing in some new arms. Some of these guys have MLB stuff but aren't ready to pitch up here. They have options galore. TA, whom I congratulated last night for going oppo to bust out of a slump was back to pulling outside pitches and grounding out to the left side. Listen to us for once, Timmy.
  14. Big boppers left the game on the bases. Oh well, it is 5-0.
  15. Talk about eagerly anticipated. I'm hyperventilating. I don't see a lot of crap on the radar, either, so they should get it in.
  16. Nobody would mistake our Sox for one of the top 10-12. They aren't the Cardinals or the coastal powerhouses, for sure. They paid big.
  17. Saw same, wondered like you. Could be a reaction to all the Sox money coming in.
  18. OBP never looked this invalid before. The advantage of having him bat second is if TA is on base, the 2B can't shift to short right field. The disadvantage is DP's galore. This is not what the Sox paid for. And they paid big.
  19. Not arguing about Kopech, but there were a couple solid hits off him. He can't just throw his 4 seamer down the middle. His stuff is dazzling, as you say.
  20. When you're in a slump, go the opposite way. Never gets old. I'll even forgive him for making the last out of the inning at third base by trying to advance on the throw home. Any Soxtalk poster could tell him you never make the last out at third base. While I'm ranting here. When Yermin singled on that high pitch with two strikes on him, he used his usual leg kick instead of his two-strike swing without it. Just saying.
  21. You're accurately describing a mess. Time to start bringing in arms and sorting them out.
  22. I don't think he's done one this year. Could he have gotten the memo? Or just a year older?
  23. Shoemaker threw some nasty shit himself, I'm just happy our guys were nastier. I give credit where it's due, but I'm glad we got the cash.
  24. Baffling. Innings limit for Kopech? If so, no faith in Heuer or Crochet, understandable. Why the 9th for Bummer? Again, baffling.
