The AL Central should have to forfeit its playoff spot.

#ChangeTheGame? #ChangeTheGame.

There's our SP acquisition.
-
Yeah, Mahle feels about right. Could also see them going bigger and getting Rodon instead.
-
I agree with you from the general standpoint that he's been great this season, but maybe he could have even been better. He's still given up some unearned runs, which forces him to throw more pitches. Plus, there's the bad defense that doesn't show up as errors in the box score, like one of our 1B/DHs playing the outfield and not being able to get to a routine fly ball. But enough raining on the Cueto parade. He's been awesome.
-
Except when you have a bad defense behind you, at which point strikeouts are more valuable than letting hitters put the ball in play.
-
But it's not actually hindsight for the people that thought him staying healthy and pitching well as a very real possibility. What's easy was dismissing anything Rodon related by saying he'll be hurt come July.
-
Is the “talk to me in July when he’s on the IL” crowd still interested in talking?

Sure, David Peralta will solve everything

I would like to know, for science, what happens when an already slumping player joins the Sox. Spontaneous combustion? Turn into a werewolf? We deserve to know. -
Because there’s such thing as personal accountability, rather than just doing stuff because you can get away with it.
-
You know it’s bad when there are so many things to hate about the organization that you forget this guy is still employed.
-
I actually think the perfect slogan is just that “this is fine” dog meme.
-
I would do play by play of the runner(s) going around the bases and get fired the same day I started.
-
Right? It feels like a lineup with TA, Yoan, Robert, Abreu, Yaz, Eloy, Vaughn and Pollock is not actually allowed to happen.
-
I find it much more likely that he’s just misreading the trade market.
-
Also, continuing to view the roster through the “when healthy” lens is incredibly stupid. You’re allowed to trade for depth!

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
Snopek replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I can already hear Hahn dropping the line about “two straight division titles” this offseason when he’s justifying not making significant improvements. Being in this division is a blessing and a curse. -

Now when they come away with nothing, Rick can say "I indicated we were being agressive, not aggressive." We're on to you. -
Sure, try to get better at the trade deadline. But a cool idea would be to also try to get better in the offseason ?♂️

I get what you're saying, but its funny how quickly this easy schedule ends up with all these caveats. Orioles: Well, they're not as bad as we thought Rockies: They're a better team at home Royals: They're always annoying to play FWIW this says way more about the Sox and how low their bar is than it does anything about their opponents. -
Why?

They’re stuck in between. Not good enough to contend, not quite bad enough to retool. Combine that with a stubborn front office and a trash division and here we are, just sort of existing.
-
Confident he won’t miss time from the thing that caused him to miss time.
-
Contract the whole division.
