  1. How about we also hold the players accountable?
  2. So they generally do not do well against some lefties and most righties. Good times.
  3. I guess technically he didn’t HAVE to throw strikes.
  4. What’s he sitting for those of us not watching?
  5. I imagine they’ll give him every opportunity to break out of it, even if it would benefit the team to do otherwise.
  6. When we talked about the warmer weather helping the Sox bats, I didn’t realize it would benefit their opponents too. I feel misled.
  7. Until his statcast page starts showing less red, I’ll assume he’ll pick it up at some point. Problem is, we need him now.
  8. I hear he will be available to not pinch hit in an obvious and key situation.
  9. I was thinking we borrow Jose Ramirez instead so we can return him as an impatient hitting groundball machine.
  10. See I was actually worse off because I missed the catharsis of reading everyone put my feelings into words for me.
  11. It’s felt to me like a 10 run game for quite a while now.
  12. Narrator: I still have three more days until I have to say my line.
  13. I think you’re confusing easy with reasonable. Also, your use of the word “declare” is exactly what’s wrong with this. No one has any grounds to be “declaring” anything about this right now, and I haven’t seen anyone in here actually doing that.
  14. I’m not either, but I think there’s at least a case to be made. The Dodgers as an organization seem to squeeze every little bit out of each player. The Sox don’t quite have that luxury, so there’s more of a reliance on raw talent IMO.
  15. Thinking through this out loud in an attempt to ease my mind a bit. In the simplest terms, for me it all comes down to: Can the talent overcome the flaws? This team might have the most talent in baseball. They also have: Piss poor fundamentals Negligent managing Problematic roster construction Questionable organizational decision making and chain of command Unfortunate injury luck I absolutely think they have enough talent to win in spite of the above, but it's a lot to overcome. Some things are in their control to fix (fundamentals,...well I wish this list was longer), others they're just sort of stuck with. Time will tell. Good thing it's a long season. A loooong, roller coaster of a season.
  16. If the Rays are doing it, it must be the cool new thing to do. Looks like we’re ahead of the curve on this one.
  17. You keep referencing his mouthing and showboating and I’m not sure exactly what you’re referring to.
  18. Had zero issues with Banks pitching there. If you can’t be trusted to protect a 6 run lead in the 9th inning, I don’t know what purpose you serve.
