Based on lineup construction, I’d say it’s more hoping than trying. But whatever. Rest is good. Stay healthy.

The Grandal will come out tomorrow, you can bet your bottom dollar

Is that thinking/hoping he can still reach some of his potential? Ability to take a walk? Left-handedness? No snark, genuinely curious. -
We are happy but we are restless. In a way, this feels like waiting for spring training to wind down.

The fan stereotyping is dumb enough, now we gotta create new ones? -

What? TLR got so much shit for pulling Kopech early the other day. Kinda hard to manage a bullpen when no one can get outs. -

Ray’s been clowning a lot of teams for awhile now. Dude’s been on fire. -

This is a good lineup. -
The bolded part is the only one that truly gives me some apprehension, but there's not a whole lot you can do about that. I get where you're coming from with the rest of the list, but I'm more concerned with which Giolito and Cease show up in their playoff starts than anything else you mention.

I can't believe there's still over a month left of the regular season. Dog days indeed.

It’s such a weird season in terms of trying to get a read on the team. They’re clearly a better team than we’ve seen due to the injuries they’ve had to deal with. At the same time, there’s no denying that they’ve racked up wins against a bad division while looking less competitive overall against the better teams. I don’t know what any of this actually means. Let’s find out in October.
-
It’s inexcusable. I get that removing your MVP makes you a worse team. Obviously. But the extent to which they become worse is a little concerning.
-
At least we don’t have to hear about how these losses were “coin flips” like peeps were saying about most of the yanks games.
-
You piqued my curiosity cuz it’s felt like a lot. Four times, but all four coming over the last six series.
-
Joke’s on you, they’re gonna lose by like 8

I see that as preferring rest and health over going all in for home advantage, which is different than saying home field doesn’t matter at all. That said, there seems to be a lot of folks in the “they will flip a switch and I know it as fact” camp, so who knows.
-
Is there really a “home field doesn’t matter” crowd? Not being snarky, I’m really asking. I haven’t seen that opinion around here.
-
I was responding to a post about yesterday’s weak lineup somehow affecting them mentally today.
-
If sitting a couple starters completely takes the wind out of their sails then they have bigger problems than we thought. I think they’re just a streaky team that’s playing a really good team.
-
Get what you’re saying, but I like seeing guys have personality on the mound.
-
I’ve accepted the fact that they are prioritizing rest over home field advantage. I don’t agree with it, but it is what it is.
-
Hopefully long enough until it’s absolutely clear that he should not be starting any playoff games. Edit: Clear to those making the decisions that is.
-
Ideally Dallas eats at least two more innings here.

Seby now has more homers than Collins.
