Eh, I’m with the bullish posters in the other thread at this point. Not every decision has worked out (that would be impossible), but TLR seems to be right about the lineup more often than not, and that’s with very little to work with.

Yeah...I haven’t been too critical of TLR’s lineups since he does seem to get more than expected from most players...but that’s a head scratcher.

Who would you prefer hit 5th? Maybe Collins? It’s not like we have a plethora of proven middle of the lineup guys available at the moment.

Two positional starters we would have expected as of March 15...and I feel good about this game. Remarkable.

Agreed, although the fix is just swapping Vaughn and Goodwin, right? Pretty minor imperfection, I think.

Oh, come on. Given the history of White Sox betting on games, this isn't real funny. Anyway, I just rewatched the condensed game from last night. My takeaway was that I'm just thrilled about/for Danny Mendick and Adam Engel. Two players who survived the rebuild to offer meaningful playing time when the team is competitive. Really happy for them. Edit: Throwing games, maybe a distinction without a difference...but you get my point.

This is kind of where I'm at with this team, too. I keep doing double takes at the lineup, but they keep winning. What they've been able to accomplish so far given the injuries the team has had to overcome is absolutely remarkable. Hopefully it continues.

Not a good result, but I can respect a 10-pitch at bat. Can make a difference in the 5th or 6th.

Every day I look at the lineup card and wonder how a team can win trotting out that outfield instead of the one we were envisioning two months ago...and yet they keep winning.

Agreed with the frustration, but silver lining: some good options to PH late in the game, if necessary. If Kopech can hold his own for 2+, and with our very good bullpen pretty well rested, this should be a close game late, one way or the other.

I still call Buerhle’s no-hitter a perfect game. 27 up, 27 down. That’s a perfect game.
