Fegan on Score @1225 pm to discuss Sox remaining moves
South Side Hit Men replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Jon Heyman said the complete opposite this morning. https://www.audacy.com/670thescore/sports/chicago-white-sox/heyman-white-sox-have-moves-around-the-edges-they-can-make It's not linked yet, but hopefully within the next few hours. -
Fegan on Score @1225 pm to discuss Sox remaining moves

A month ago Jon Heyman pissed Hahn off when he reported Grifol could be a one year and done manager. In to hear what Fegan has to say. -
2023 White Sox Salary / Transaction Tracker
South Side Hit Men replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Using these arb estimates unless there is a better consensus estimate for one or more of these players. Arb 2 Cease $8.2M Kopech $3.5M Arb 1 Vaughn $1.7M Crochet $1.2M Lambert $1.0M Foster $1.0M -
Playing regularly at Charlotte is more important than riding the bench in Chicago. If Tim remains, it makes sense to play Tim regularly to build trade value over the off-season or at the next deadline. It's likely Yoan and Tim will play better next year, perhaps significantly better, as they are auditioning for their free agent contracts.

Sadly Ventura and Tony couldn't either. Perhaps the next hire. -

Woke up a few minutes ago. Missed nothing good I see. 28,096 paid, hoping this drops into the teens next season without a new FO and complete roster revamp. -

Kopech may struggle to complete 4 innings today. I'm going to take a nap. -

Tim dabbing in the 2 hole. Tim dabbing in the leadoff role. All he does is dab dab dab. -
LOLz, sure Jan. La Russa fucked over Kopech for two seasons, he will likely never recover. Hahn fucked over just about the rest of the roster beyond Tony's signings and extensions listed above. https://calltothepen.com/2022/08/22/chicago-white-sox-fire-tony-la-russa-latest-idiocy/

Was going for position players, but yes Kopech is #1 in terms of pitching disappointments. Perhaps he scores a reality TV show soon to keep the income stream going beyond a few more seasons. -

Would say the same for his contract (2 instead of 5 years). Joins Grandal and Keuchel in the overpay with no other reported offers. -

Makes sense to keep Elvis until Romy returns, doesn’t make sense to call up Sosa unless they plan to make him a starter for which he is too young and not ready. Playing Elvis a few times a month to rest Tim and Remillard is fine. Like Leury, playing Elvis as a starter is not ideal at this stage of his career. -
His HR numbers will likely not improve, which is the bulk of his value. Any acquiring team will play him at DH, perhaps a fill in at 3B. Could play 1B if he works on it. Great guy, great story, great to sell high especially with zero chance competing until mid to late decade. His 1.3 bWAR is as good a time as ever, also lowers the DH/1B 26 man roster count to four post 2023 (Eloy, Vaughn, Sheets, Perez after Grandal leaves). The Sox will need solid to excellent defense, especially up the middle, to finally reach a period of contention (beyond the 140ish games in 2020-2021) before the end of this decade.

You’re at a half dozen garbage straw man posts. I mentioned 2021, and you spazzed out with this unrelated garbage. But you do you.

Burger makes most sense because his value will never be higher. I would sell everyone over the next two years but Robert unless you were blown away with a Robert offer and there was a new competent person making the call. 2026 is the first year the Sox can credibly contend, it will likely be later if ever if Hahn is not fired. Optimal time: 2023 Deadline: Bummer, Burger & Clevinger 2023-2024 Off-season: Cease & Eloy 2024 Deadline: Tim and Yoan

2020 was Jerry and his 102 game lockout because he “lost” ten figures. The Game Three debacle was Hahn’s fault, but Ricky took the blame because Chicago media. Tony was alpha and Hahn beta boy until his baby heart attack / detox / whatever else in 2022. Would blame both, but Tony clearly had far more say than Ricky or Pedro in these matters.

These were also all pre existing relievers, whereas Kopech was always a starter until Tony! Toni! Tone! drunk drove into a parking space at 35th and Shields.

Clevinger Activated, Navarro and Shaw Called up
South Side Hit Men replied to Heads22's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Here is more info on Navarro. The Sox signed him as a 20 year old out of Venezuela. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/07/white-sox-select-edgar-navarro-activate-mike-clevinger.html
