Moncada was a solid player through 2021. Lucas and Cease had a few good seasons. Lynn four good months before his extension, knee brace and playoff implosion. The rest were complete busts. Moncada stated today he is still hurt, is not 100%, but can better play through it than when he was initially placed on the IL. Bottom line is he likely needs surgery or several months of rest, but the Sox are going to Sox through the remaining 10 meaningless weeks and then do what they should have done in May.

Would say the best defensive alignment today is C Zavala 1B Grandal 2B Remillard SS Anderson 3B Moncada LF Benintrndi CF Robert RF Colas Not sure if Eloy will ever be healthy enough to play OF or 1B regularly. Hahn should have placed Vaughn on the IL last week and played Eloy DH and Burger 1B through the deadline, move one or both at the deadline. Move Tim and Yoan next deadline or this off-season with both playing for FA contracts for max value.
