With the expanded roster, having adequate reserves will make a huge difference. Hard to do much with Collins, Mendick and Lamb as the extent of your bench, and Goodwin playing everyday. Really hoping Sheets gets a good look in RF the next few weeks. Robert, Eloy, Vaughn, Engel, Sheets and Hamilton as a PR/Defensive substitution would be a great six player mix for 4 starting spots (OF + DH - Plus Grandal when he's not catching). Nice to see Liam be able to handle multi inning work again, his wife saving his (and perhaps the Sox) season by identifying his pitch tipping.

Brian Goodwin last 28 days: .589 OPS. Couple that with his poor defense and baserunning and they can DFA him to activate Engel.

Why even have announcers if they are not going to broadcast from the game. Just have AI bots announce game day / baseball savant activity. Based on the cord cutting article, it sounds like the Cubs and White Sox may again a common broadcast partner, Sinclair, after decades of WGN broadcasts. Wonder if Sinclair will ever send their broadcasting crews back on the road. MLS and NFL are the only two sports which continue to broadcast games over the air, and their ratings have done well. The other three sports have ratings continue to dive, If one of the Chicago MLB teams returned a significant portion of games, even say a dedicated weekend game like the Yankees do in NY, it would go a long way to increasing positive team exposure in a cord cutting world. Been satisfied listening to games while getting nice walks in, and watching the game summaries free on MLB.com. Like the broadcasters on radio better as well, and they actually attend all the games in person. What a concept!

Love all these moves, rest Tim, Foster can go 2-3 IP for a bullpen game to cover for Lucas. Sheets has a chance to play for a playoff roster spot, hope he gets plenty of playing time this month. Foster and Hamilton came up for the team photo yesterday, Collins will come up next week, perhaps for Foster or Wright once they confirm Lynn or Lucas can return.
