  1. The Sox will need to get 1-2 innings out of Wright tonight, to keep others fresh. Available: Wright (has not pitched this week) Kimbrel (pitched yesterday, 8 pitches) Ruiz (pitched Wednesday, 11 pitches) Bummer (last pitched Wednesday, 27 pitches) Hendricks (last pitched Tuesday, 39 pitches) Likely Not Available: Crochet (pitched yesterday, though only 8 pitches - so slight possibility) Not Available: Kopech (pitched yesterday, 27 pitches) Tepera (pitched the past two days, 8 on Thursday, 20 on Wednesday)
  2. More great hustle by Vaughn, this time it pays off. Chicago White Sox 7 Cubs 6
  3. The Cubs bullpen is very bad after dumping Tepera and Kimbrel. If Sox hitters are patient, they can do a lot of damage the remainder of the game. What a turnaround!
  4. If they move him to the bullpen for at least a few weeks, he likely won't reach 320 for the two years even if he is a starter next season (here or elsewhere), They can bring up a starter to spot Reynaldo or someone else for a game or two, well worth the payroll flexibility in 2023, IMO.
  5. Nice hustle Andrew! Shit, they are challenging, and Len and DJ think he is out.
  6. They can't do that, since he can file a grievance, but they can pull him from the rotation. He will b****, but most if not all of the other men in that dugout will tune his toxicity out, if they hadn't already. You need to produce or sit, plain and simple.
  7. Yeah, make outs on purpose Grandpa Rossi, the Sox will make you pay.
  8. It reminds me of the David Wells start, after he puked on the mound and was pulled in the first, also at home, also against the Cubs. True story, the Sox came back to win that game.
  9. Reynaldo is standing and stretching, and now throwing in the bullpen as the 2nd inning begins. Hopefully Keuchel will be able to keep them in the game. This is the third start for the Cubs starter, and after that first inning they may need to turn to their weakened bullpen for 4-5 + innings. The Sox are still in it, they just need a quick hook if Dallas gives up 1-2 more runners here.
  10. Thank you. The best course is to move him to the bullpen, not DFA him, since they cannot control what another club does.
  11. But another club picks him up at the minimum. My question is if he reaches 160 IP next year, is the team that claims him responsible for 2023, since he reached 160 innings on the team that claimed him, or are the White Sox, since they DFA'd him and are responsible for the remainder of his contract when he is DFAd?
  12. He has two more years if he pitches 160 innings this and next season. The Sox will need to acquire an external starter to replace him next year. Jose Abreu knocks home Tim, 6-1. Keep the line moving!
  13. Sox can still outslug this team, keep the line moving. Let's do this.
