  1. Tony La Russa as primitive as can be. As primitive as can be. Hahn is in Cincinnati. Time to cancel Tony’s plane ticket like JR and Schuler did to Fisk.
  2. “There’s a difference between being passed out at the wheel, and asleep at the wheel.” - Tony La Russa
  3. DJ: “I have no idea what we’re doing. They have a great throwing catcher. There is no reason to steal there, with a pitcher on third.” FIRE LA RUSSA NOW!
  4. He could have been inserted into another lineup position in the double switch. Tony intentionally inserted him to be the runner.
  5. DJ mentioned this, said it was a possible miscommunication between the ump and Tony who was trying to convey a double switch. Liam the runner at second, because Tony asleep at the wheel.
  6. Dallas Keuchel $20M 2023 Vest-o-Meter: 2021 122 IP Remaining 2022 160 IP Remaining Pass October 2022 Physical Exam
  7. The old Billy Baroo should be pulled out sparingly.
  8. Eloy has been injured a half dozen other times before 2021 Spring Training. The primary concern/detriment for moving him from LF to DH, offset by the improvement for both potential for avoiding injuries and significant defensive upgrade no matter who takes his place, is whether it will impact his hitting. Many players have issues successfully transitioning to a DH role. The Sox can live in 2022 with the extra depth at 1B/DH. Would work Mercedes both at catcher and first base after adequate preparation (I.e. not what Tony did that one game), would definitely help both him and the team if he had flexibility. If MLB goes to automated strikes, he would be a lot more viable behind the plate, has a solid arm.
  9. Good friends we have had Good friends we’ve lost along the way
  10. No Jake Lamb, no cry No Jake Lamb, no cry https://mobile.twitter.com/whitesox/status/1389936199452741633 https://mobile.twitter.com/whitesox/status/1389936199452741633/photo/1
  11. He's been sore for a week. Had Sunday off, to give him rest, until Robert hurt himself in the bottom of the first. He got hurt with his crazy baserunning, take the two days and hopefully stay healthy after.
  12. David Wells was the only White Sox player I ever booed, when he was puking booze on the mound and failed to record an out in his start against the Cubs. Carlos Lee, a far superior defensive OF compared to Eloy, bailed Wells’ dumb ass out in extras. It was glorious! https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200106080.shtml Wells was the clown how trashed Frank for not playing hurt, for his shoulder injury that shut him down for the season. https://tht.fangraphs.com/tht-live/10th-anniversary-of-david-wells-most-asinine-moment-5-3-11/ Game including Wells’ “performance”archived here: https://m.facebook.com/WhiteSox/videos/1133234710388686/
  13. Great game! It’s your responsibility to create the thread for tomorrow’s early morning game, and beyond, if they keep winning!
  14. In Katz We Trust! Nice to see the former SS crank out three hits tonight in his first three MLB at bats, and also pitch a gem. Not as enjoyable as last Thursday’s DH sweep, but as close as you can get with one regular season game.
  15. Wonder if any of his balls were pulled for lab testing.
  16. A solid game tonight. Still hope he gets his first game off tomorrow, the May schedule is packed including two DHs. One off day with 28 games between May 11 and June 6th (includes two DHs).
  17. Great outing Dylan. No need to push this further (96 pitches), get someone up here.
  18. Would be ok with Cease being done, definitely no need to push over 100 here (at 84 now).
  19. Last XBH by a White Sox pitcher: Carlos Rodon vs. Cubs 2017. Last White Six pitcher with 2 Hits in a game: Mike Sirotka 1999.
  20. Madrigal very jealous of Dylan’s power. 98 MPH EV!!!
  21. Nice to see Cease regain his composure against the heart off the lineup.
  22. Nice story by Connor McKnight about Dylan’s HS career and aspirations of being a MLB power hitting shortstop. These hopes were derailed when his fastball hit 94-95, and he was converted to full time pitching.
  23. DJ throws shade at Grandal: “Coaches are looking for him to crush a 3-1 fastball, instead of looking to walk and waiting for someone else to drive him in.”
