  1. As long as he stays alive, he’ll climb into second on the wins list, after sitting over a decade second on the loss list. THAT and the l pathetic owner are the two reasons he is managing Abreu is still hurt by the pitch that hit his hand. DJ mentioned it twice.
  2. Or he can DFA Lamb, bring up Mendick, and force Tony’s hand. If they bring up Williams than the FO and Tony deserve what happens, even though the team and fans do not.
  3. He’s been hobbling since that ridiculous baserunning I believe on Thursday.
  4. Especially in light of the fact he has 85 pitches through five, after the ridiculous 114 pitch outing on Tuesday. Time to use the bullpen.
  5. If Lamb, Leury or Nick Williams show up at 1:09, no problem. They’ve earned both their regular starting slots and the benefit of the doubt.
  6. Right hip flexor strain confirmed, X-rays negative, to be re-evaluated tomorrow.
  7. Will Tony even play Engel beyond a game or two over his precious Lamb, Garcia and Eaton outfield?
  8. Thank you. Mister, we could use a manager like Chuck Tanner again.
  9. It's not Yermin's fault Freddies isn't open until 10:30 on Sundays. Can't get four hits without two Yerminators!
  10. The legacy media is beyond pathetic. The Daily News was the last decent Chicago newspaper. The Tribune has always been a terrible paper. Is it still in business?
  11. You’re a sadly obsessed person. I’m assuming it’s because they won yesterday and it’s his thread at this point. Honestly did not know. I joined late last season. Any other “unwritten rules” new posters should be aware of?
  12. FIFY. May as well send down Vaughn and Madrigal, put Engel on the 60 Day IL and call up Nick Williams. Tony’s optimal roster choices.
  13. Boom Goes Timmy’s Dynamite. White Sox rescue La Russa again.
  14. I agree with your assessment. A smart manager would limit starting their bench players to 1 or at rare times 2 at most per game. Tony's problem is playing 2-3, with a few regulars already out (when Tim and Robert were out). Mendick is better NOW than both Garcia and Lamb, but Tony won't keep him on the roster since he is not a "trusted veteran". Hahn needs to take control here.
  15. Veterans only Rookies must earn their at bats Asleep at the wheel
  16. What number of Jake Lamb and Leury Garcia starts will it take for Hahn to intercede? Is he allowed to by Jerry’s dysfunctional shitshow of an organization? White Sox Math = Tony La Russa Sucks OBP: Madrigal .369; Vaughn .364; Lamb .318; Garcia .220. OPS: Madrigal .790; Vaughn .725; Lamb .485; Garcia .462. In terms of the catcher defense as measured by Fangraphs: 2021 McCann 2.3 (tied for 6th) Collins 0.9 (tied for 25th) Grandal 0.2 (tied for 46th)
  17. Solid critique of La Russia’s pitching staff management, and the risk of pitcher injury with continued outlier usage patterns against league averages. https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/66522/moonshot-tony-la-russa-is-leaving-his-pitchers-in-too-long/?utm_source=Baseball+Prospectus&utm_campaign=b6e3638c30-2021-04-30+BP+basic+Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_1613350d6d-b6e3638c30-369388677&mc_cid=b6e3638c30&mc_eid=89f998c67e
  18. He was booed on a regular basis before he was rightfully shitcanned his last stint here. Beyond a few “deranged” sycophants, most see the lineup construction, bullpen, late inning hitting decisions, postgame comments and cognitive decline as major problems. Tony acknowledged his mistakes multiple times in the first few weeks. The players experience these failures firsthand. If they persist, it will cause a major rift in the clubhouse, if it hasn’t already begun. There is too much at stake to allow someone asleep at the wheel to continue to attempt to drive.
  19. Stats heading into today. Leury Garcia BA .211/ OBP .224 / SLG .246 Andrew Vaughn BA .273 / OBP .375 / SLG .459
  20. It means the game has passed him by and games with higher stakes will be blown with Tony's decisions and "logic". Tony is very fortunate writers do not have access to the clubhouse or others in the organization with continued COVID restrictions. He will begin to lose the team, if he hasn't started to already, by putting them in a position to fail by not utilizing the best players on the roster, deferring to "veterans" who have "earned" their at bats, with "earned" based on number of years in the game versus actual production or ability in 2021.
