I'd rather Eloy DH in every meaningful game. Also, agree with Laurence Holmes' assessment of preferring Yolmer over Madrigal for defense. -

Sentence one: Agreed Sentence two: Think it’s a toss up like this one. Sentence three: That’s about 90% of the content I’ve read here since joining. It’s 12:57, patient as possible waiting for the lineup. -
Pitchers for game 3

Anytime I read the word absurd on SoxTalk, I read it in Hawk voice from his Wagner rant. “That is totally absurd” (0:40 mark) -

I'm surprised they didn't shift one of the morning (Reds vs Braves) or early afternoon games (either Chicago) to the empty ESPN Yankees / Cleveland slot tomorrow. The only schedule change was to shift the Cardinals Padres from 4 to 6 CDT, and leaving it on ESPN 2. What is ESPN going to air in prime time? A replay of their daily programming of 2-4 guys yelling hot takes at each other? A 2019 WSOP replay? Magnus Ver Magnusson winning The World's Strongest Man competition from three decades ago? -
Not to mention the alternate reality many here live in, where there are not ongoing discussions between Hahn and Rick about the lineup, bullpen, rotation and roster during the regular season, and daily conversations during the postseason. As if Rick Hahn is sitting and fretting, oh, I don't like what's going on, I wish I could say or do something about it. With an open dialogue, they can discuss the pros and cons of the current roster, and Rick's boss can agree to some tough decisions regarding key free agent and draft pick acquisitions. The same boss who hired Rick Renteria after a thorough job search of 24 hours, and who signed him again in 2019. Not sure why there is a lack of understanding of how a team, even an "old school" team like the White Sox, operates in the 21st century, but here we are after a successful season even the most optimistic among fans or the team could have expected.

May want to shoot for something higher, like Eddie Debartolo being allowed buying the White Sox and bringing a 49ers like Dynasty to a still standing Comiskey Park. Or Rick Hahn expanding on Tesla’s work and developing free electricity. Or Rick Renteria choosing medicine and developing a cure for cancer. Or Jerry Reinsdorf staying in Brooklyn and creating a 50/50 partnership with a fellow New Yorker, Bernie Madoff.

Yes, and it would be a completely different game if Madrigal consistent fuckups on the base paths and in the field did not occur. Then you get him running through stop signs and getting injured. Never having a fucking clue out there. It is regular and expected at this point. The game plays out much differently if close, Sox could have won easy. You can’t give outs and games away. How exactly would the game turned out “better” if the Sox escape the first scoreless, and Madrigal scores from third, versus sitting at second?
