  1. I've been calling for this for weeks. Looks like Roberts is adjusting the past two games with four walks. Hope he continues to do so if he isn't getting anything to hit, but you need someone better than Mazara to back him up. This should be the everyday lineup: SS Anderson 3B Moncada C/1B/DH Grandal (Catches Keuchel/Cease starts) 1B/DH Abreu LF Jimenez CF Roberts C/DH McCann RF Mazara / Engel / Dyson 2B Biggie Smalls
  2. Dan Beacom @dfbeacom 4h @jasonbenetti @stevestone Our catcher is lucky he doesn't play for Ross. How many balls can drop in a 60 game season Steve Stone @stevestone Replying to @dfbeacom and @jasonbenetti I do finally agree with you Michael Turner @michael62477894 5h @stevestone Does Grandal know how to call a game? Asking for a friend Steve Stone @stevestone Replying to @michael62477894 No comment
  3. D.J. also said during the radio broadcast he feels the team really wants to win the Division as well, not sure what Stone said or why. A few positives I took from the game were: 1. Robert's second consecutive two walk game. Pitchers have been feeding him a heavy diet of away sliders he kept swinging feebly at. He is making adjustments and laying off, taking the walk, or four, today and yesterday. 2. Jimenez had another great game. Nice to see him run out the ball late, indicating he was OK after the scare early in the ballgame. 3. The team battled back after an early 4 spot, kept plugging away until the final at bat where they could have tied it against one of the best closers. Ricky's Boys Don't Quit!!!!
  4. First ejection for Rick Renteria this season, the 22nd in his White Sox tenure.
  5. They reported on the WGN broadcast x-rays came back negative, but his hand is bruised.
  6. Carlos Lee, Greg Luzinski and Carlton Fisk were gold glove LFers compared to Eloy.
  7. That negates his only positive, the fact he owns a glove. Rather have Eloy DH and platoon LF.
  8. I hope you are right. They’ll still likely play games with service time as they did keeping Madrigal in Schaumburg, despite the fact the new CBA may render all of these games meaningless. Not every single rookie is worth doing this with, the two who signed extensions were, because their ceilings are much higher.
  9. I can see Hahn picking up Parrot’s option and keeping Mazara. Can also see him doubling down on 12 against a ten.
  10. Tigers have many holes, the sox had a few, Mazara and Parrot as bad or worse than 2019 options. Grandal’s bat appreciated, the argument is money was better allocated to the holes (RF and DH) which have grown deeper this season.
  11. I agree with the sentiment of your post, but disagree about the number 3. Cease lines up for number three, that is why he was slotted Sunday and Dunning today.
  12. Expect to see McCann behind the plate with Dunning pitching, he has caught all but one of his starts (Collins caught his first start). Hope Tim gets the day off if he has any soreness with the cramp he experienced yesterday. I expect the lineup below, if Tim is a go, he slots first and Madrigal 9th. 2B Madrigal 1B Grandal DH Abreu LF Jimenez 3B Moncada C McCann CF Robert RF Mazara SS Sanchez
  13. No new injuries. Aaron Bummer makes an appearance and is considered healthy enough to be named to the playoff roster. Tim Anderson becomes the 15th player in American League history to win two or more consecutive American League Batting Titles
  14. "Mirror, mirror, on the wall. Who's the cheapest, of them all?" Mirror shatters....
  15. Hitting: Yolmer > Parrot Parrot is now tied with Nicky Delmonico for the worst 2020 batter WAR at -0.4 (Burdi -0.6 leads pitchers).
  16. North Korea has had three Supreme Leaders since 1988 (Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il & Kim Jong-un), the year the White Sox hired Don Cooper. Regime change begins at home.
  17. FTFU Cooper has been with the Sox longer than many here have been alive (1988). I still contend he passed in 2012, a taxidermist stuffed him and added remote control wheels for mound visits, and Reinsdorf pockets the pitching coach salary.
  18. The Sox have the same chance of acquiring Kershaw or Cole as they have Bauer this off-season. 1-4 in the playoffs. Good pitcher, but not worth the $ or grief.
  19. Congratulations on your first White Sox Home Run Nomar. Biggie Smalls Madrigal, your turn! Another great win, Keuchel worked well out of trouble, Foster was Foster, Ricky pushing all the right buttons as usual. Cheers!
  20. Nearly all rookies / second year players are inconsistent at times. Sox young core is and will continue to be awesome. Peace
  21. The Chicago Police Department was also one of the few (if any) to refuse to participate in COPS.
  22. The New York Yankees and Philadelphia / Kansas City / Oakland Athletics are the only two teams with more AL Rookie of the Year Award winners than the Chicago White Sox. 1956 Luis Aparicio† Chicago White Sox SS .266 batting average 21 stolen bases 69 runs scored [20] 1963 Gary Peters Chicago White Sox P 2.33 earned run average 243 innings pitched 19–8 record in 41 appearances (30 games started) [27] 1966 Tommie Agee Chicago White Sox OF .273 batting average 44 stolen bases 98 runs scored 29.3 Power-Speed #+ [30] 1983 Ron Kittle Chicago White Sox OF .254 batting average 35 home runs 100 runs batted in [48] 1985 Ozzie Guillén Chicago White Sox SS .273 batting average 9 triples 71 runs scored [50] 2014 José Abreu^§ Chicago White Sox 1B .317 batting average 36 home runs 107 runs batted in
