I believe Pedro knows things have to turn drastically in 2024, and he has little control over what, if anything, they acquire toward that goal. I don't believe he will be fired in season next year, because Jerry loves money and it's not going to change much. I can see them firing Pedro after season end, like Ricky, with only one more year on his contract rather than have him be a loose cannon lame duck entering 2025 without an extension. Grifol will be a convenient scapegoat for Getz who has far less at his disposal than Hahn's seemingly endless supply.

I'd say for smaller businesses, there can be major costs involved that in many cases may not be feasible to implement. Most do not have the resources (staff, legal advice and financial) to know every single relevant law. It's hard enough managing through the various city, county and state laws to operate seemingly simple businesses. However, for billion dollar net worth entities like the White Sox and Ticketmaster, they have enough attorneys on hand to know the legalities, and at minimum can spend the 2 or so minutes to find the link posted here, and work with Ticketmaster and Boyer's ticket organization to implement. I was on WSI from 2004-2006 or 2007, was banned like most there. They have some sad site up now, with perhaps 1-2% of the "slow" traffic here the past month or so. David Wells remains the only White Sox player I've ever booed at a game. July 8, 2001 - David Wells 22 pitches, 5 batters faced, 3 hits, 1 walk. 2 errors, 0 outs, 2 runs. Thankfully the White Sox bullpen held the Cubs to just one more run over 10 innings, and Carlos Lee belted a walk off grand slam off of Courtney Duncan for a 7-3 win in 10 innings.

I hated both La Russa eras, didn't like the Pedro hire. Not necessarily because he is from Kansas City, but because far better experienced options were out there, just like the GM job, that were not pursued. The best candidate the Sox were interested in, Joe Espada, pulled himself out of consideration after seeing firsthand this s%*# show in person the day he interviewed. It was reported they had no interest in Bruce Bochy, who is doing well in Texas.
