  1. Manager Pedro Grifol continues own Tito. Very nice to see. Congratulations to Sammy Peralta for his first Major League Win, and Jimmy Lambert on his first Major League Save! Congratulations Pedro and Chicago White Sox for completely owning this team and hurting them from beyond once the suspensions kick in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM
  2. Beat this scum, start their lake on fire again, and get the f*** out of there
  3. I am honouring Wilbur Wood, my first favorite player and favorite White Sox as a six year old in 1975. I thought he was Superman because he was able to pitch both games of a doubleheader, not knowing the nuances of being a knuckleball pitcher. He could have pitched several more seasons if that knee injury did not occur. While this was not my highest point total for a day, it's my highest point total for a winning day, sparked by the Tim Anderson fight.

Does not include days I tied for first but for whatever reason was placed second / awarded Silver:

    • 3/23/21 (7 bmags)
    • 9/11/22 (16 Fathom)
    • 9/19/22 (13 Balta)
  4. Nah, I hate several teams more than the Cubs. My ancestors were all still in various countries overseas when they last played important games in 1906. Yankees, Boston, Minnesota, Cleveland, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, Kansas City, the Dodgers. I hate them far more. For folks with obnoxious Cubs fans in your life, just ignore / don’t engage when they talk s%*# or ghost them.
  5. I hope Lynn and Keuchel and their teams get pummeled. Don’t want the Yankees or Toronto in the playoffs, but hope the other three do well.
  6. I’m glad they kept both, with the chance of Hahn being gone in October, and or with the chance of trading Cease this off-season or next July. I trust another person making a decision on Cease and the direction of the team more than Hahn. There was no rush to give him away, and there were reports they didn’t get a solid offer for Cease. Seemed like there were few buyers through the weekend, with little given up for Flaherty or Lorenzen, Mets ate a bulk of the money for Scherzer (not sure for Verlander). The Sox seemed to maximize value, especially for Lynn and Kelly, and I think most consider Hahn did a good job at the one area he is known for (selling off players). Robert should not be traded, period. He should be a franchise player, and will hopefully will be here when the Sox can contend in 2026 or 2027.
  7. “f*** Jose Ramirez. f*** Tito. f*** that Green Hair Guy. f*** Mike Sarbaugh. f*** Jim Harbaugh. f*** Bob Feller. f*** Pronk. f*** Larry Dolan and his entire extended family. f*** Drew Carey. f*** Tom Hanks.” - South Side Hit Men 8/5/23
  8. ^This. Indeed. When a guy is challenging you physically, wagging a finger in your face, you need to stand your ground, on or off the diamond. Before tonight, I hated Minnesota the most, but Cleveland just tied the ballgame and have runners on the corners. Let Jose and that entire city sit there and stew owning the longest winless World Series streak, with little to no chance to reverse the curse. They are lucky Veeck bought, integrated and brought a World Series Championship to Cleveland in 1948, or their streak would be over a century and growing. And f*** Tom Hanks while we are at it.
  9. Drake Laroche put Robin and Rick Hahn in simultaneous headlocks until Kenny went down to the clubhouse and freed them both.
  10. The Sox (and Guardians) can appeal suspensions and play tomorrow (managers and coaches cannot), but with the early start time, they are likely not able to bring in anyone from Norfolk (where Charlotte played a doubleheader tonight) to fill in for Moncada (already out with his back, he should be shut down) and Eloy (already missed three starts this week), plus we will see if Tim has concussion protocol. Might see this lineup tomorrow: LF Benintendi CF Robert 2B Vaughn DH Sheets 1B Grandal C Zavala RF Colas 3B Remillard SS Andrus Bench: Trace Thompson Bench Emergency Availability: Anderson; Jimenez; Moncada
  11. Eloy's injury at the 1:18 mark center slightly upper portion, believe either someone stepped on his toe or he sprained his ankle. https://www.mlb.com/video/benches-clear-in-cleveland Closeup shot: Rest in Peace
  12. Jose headbutted Tim's junk/cup and then started wagging his finger in Tim's face. Tim defended himself. I always blame the out of line player in these instances, be it Robin Ventura 30 years ago and Jose Ramirez tonight. If Tim slid into Jose Ramirez, bitched, got up and wagged his finger in Jose's pork face, I'd feel the same way toward Tim.
  13. Ventura wouldn't stand a chance. Perhaps when Nolan turns 100.
  14. There are zero current domestic markets better than having the second team in Chicago. Oakland would be the best market available if they were open (the Giants will block any new team, they also blocked a viable A's stadium option). A few teams moving to Nashville would make sense, perhaps Charlotte or Montreal, and that's pretty much it. The Las Vegas market is weak, they will not draw in the same way their first team (Golden Knights) or NFL Raiders draw, their TV revenue will be very low, I still think there is a decent chance something in Oakland is worked out, and MLB uses the Nevada handout for an expansion team. What passed in the legislature last month (small Tropicana site) was a much smaller footprint than their original plan (Wild Wild West land with massive real estate development), though obviously that could also change over time.
  15. Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox White Sox Undercard: White Sox Main Event
  16. For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of Pedro Grifol. f*** Mike Sarbaugh as well.
  17. She made the right decision. Look at that pork face.
  18. Ramirez provoked this entire incident, f*** that punk ass b****.
  19. Len and DJ says it looks like Eloy got hurt in the action.
