  1. Personally Coby Mayo is my top choice outside of Roman Anthony and Aidan Miller as a return I think Mayo is going to absolutely mash and could handle 1B for a long time here.
  2. I wonder if including Vaughn in a deal with Crochet would increase or decrease the return
  3. But but but “he won a gold glove!!!” These Red Sox fans are almost as delusional as Yankees fans If one of Anthony, Teel, or Mayer aren’t the headliner move on.
  4. Red Sox - Roman Anthony, Kyle Teel, Marcelo Mayer (1 of them) Dodgers - Josue De Paula Phillies - Aiden Miller Whomever they trade him to, those are the musts in any trade. I think the Phillies considering Dombrowski's hunger to win and them completely falling on their face in the playoffs, this one would be the most realistic. Either way Chris Getz has set himself up really well this offseason to move him, what he can't do though is take an underwhelming package just because you feel you have to move him like he did with the Dylan Cease deal
  5. I’m sure there are fantastic candidates who are cheap but the chances of this organization finding that person are incredibly slim. Another reason why Jerry Reinsdorf should be out of professional sports he just chooses not to accept the fact that in order to make money you gotta spend money.
  6. Per Heyman’s article tonight: ”The leading candidates for the White Sox job are believed to be Rangers bench coach Will Venable, former Angels manager Phil Nevinand Tigers bench coach George Lombard. Venable is a guy White Sox GM Chris Getz always liked. Would be interesting to see him take the White Sox job a year after turning down the Mets for an interview.”
  7. In regards to the header of this thread Get rid of him, let him thrive somewhere else
  8. Skip Schumaker or Will Venable please
  9. Skip Schumaker, Donnie Ecker, or Will Venable for me
  10. Or Venable as manager, Ecker as hitting coach?
  11. Schumaker or Venable would be my choice
  12. Very important hire, have to try and establish a culture, doesn’t necessarily need to equate to wins right away but with all the young players they need someone who can build a foundation and hopefully grow with the players too
  13. Haven’t seen one formed - figured I’d start one. Heyman reported that Phil Nevin and Will Venable are a couple names on a “long list” of candidates for the job. I’d be ecstatic for Venable but zero shot he comes to Chicago, I’d be pumped for a Skip Shumaker also. Inevitably I think it’ll be an outside hire whom none of us expected.
  14. “if I’m him though, they’ll probably so many openings though (Yankees come to mind right away) why would you pick the Sox.” More so saying if the Sox actually have a chance to get him, meaning Jerry OKs it, then he should be the guy IMO. But like you and everyone has said this organization never does the right thing
  15. He’s being ran out, there are plenty of Marlins fans who are pissed that he’s gonna be gone after the year, new president wants to pick his guy.
  16. Im all in on Skip Schumaker, if I’m him though, they’ll probably so many openings though (Yankees come to mind right away) why would you pick the Sox. But that’d be my first choice, Francona I’m just worried about his health getting in the way but he’d be my 2nd choice
  17. Robbie Snelling an MLB Top 100 but not Baseball America
  18. Morosi wrong again - Per Chris Cotillo Red Sox Beat Writer Roman Anthony was never in the lineup today.. false alarm
  19. Think it’s pretty obvious teams are putting a higher price tag on their positional prospects
  20. They did also probably accomplish raising the price for Crochet, Skubal making them potentially immovable to the contenders.
  21. Wishful thinking - that Rogers deal just kept Crochet’s price tag incredibly high Realistic - Chris Getz is a turd and has shown us he has no idea how to negotiate
  22. There are plenty of teams still interested in Crochet, to think this “bombshell report” completely dries up his market is wild to me. He’s still one of the 10 best pitcher in all of baseball this year, him wanting to get paid more than $800k per doesn’t change that fact. I think he still gets moved and if he doesn’t I’m hopeful that he finishes the season strong and gets a potentially even bigger haul in the offseason.
  23. Sounds like a bunch of teams want him on their team very badly and they’re doing everything they can to try and lower his price. Sox will still get a HAUL for him
