GT 7/5: MIN @ SOX, The day after

TLR has not shown any sense of urgency or drive to win the whole season. He does not utilize all his available resources efficiently. His over resting philosophy and aversion to pinch hitting has hurt us this season. -

It’s TLR ball. Pinch hitting is not in his playbook. -

TA has been awful with RISP and been a major rally killer the last few weeks. -

If it would only been ground ball singles would be OK, however most of the ground balls have been outs including plenty of double play balls. -

Our roster construction is not aligned with GRF home run friendly confines. We have given up our home field advantage, thru our lack of homers. Lots of investments on relievers with no power hitting lefties in lineup, not the right priorities by FO and others. -

It is hard for the Sox to win games At GRF without hitting homers. We are getting out homered practically every game. Better put in Eloy, Grandal or whoever else can at least potentially hit home runs. Our current line up is not aligned to GRF homer friendliness. That is why I called for Hahn to sign Joc Pederson and/ or Kyle Schwarber in free agency instead on putting all the money in relievers. -

That’s TLR ball. With ReyLo in the 10 th last night we had a chance, he has not given up a homer to the last 150 batters he is faced. -

Getting out homered at GRF once again. That is the main reason why the Sox have a losing record at home and a large minus 50+ run differential. Our homer friendly park has become a liability for our current homer poor roster. -

No adjustments whatsoever. Invariable grounds the ball to the left side with RISP and goes the other way with nobody on. Should try to hit the ball the other way also with RISP. Also no patience, hardly ever walks and he is lead off hitter… -

I think part of the problem with Moncada and others is that they were over paid from the start, and they became content fat cats, losing initiative and drive. Don’t forget that Moncada was making something like $30/ month in Cuba and then suddenly he is a multimillionaire. Not everybody can manage sudden wealth well, particularly young men. IMO. -

Conversely, if we lose tonight last night’s loss will feel much worse. -
Less than 100 for sure. Some in the moronic-idiotic range.

The memo was don’t let Buxton beat us. Don’t know if TLR read it. -

One of the main reasons why we have such a terrible home record. Our opposition is outhomering the Sox at homer friendly GRF. -
Engel was very close to second base when he took off as Moncada was barreling down. Engel should gone back to second and tag the base before he started running. At least we would have had a man on 3 rd with 2 out and saved the embarrassing triple play, that will put the Sox in laughingstock lore forever.

Christmas in July. Sox wrapped a gift win for the Twins. - Robert awful defense on the 2 Arraez doubles. - taking slugger Sheets out for pinch runner in a tied game late and no outs, and not being available to hit in the 9th in a tied game. - Moncada and Engel running blunder resulting in only 5-3 triple play in history. - No coaching at first yelling to Moncada to stay put or come back to first. - Joe Kelly fiasco in the 10th. Including walking two who both scored. - Letting Kelly pitch to the lefty with Banks ready in the bullpen, which cost another 2 runs. And on and on. Chicago Blunder Sox at work tonight. It is tough to be a White Sox fan.
